Greensboro lottery office moves

Lottery players in the Triad looking to claim a big prize will pick up their checks in a new location in Greensboro beginning Monday, Nov. 23rd.

The new regional office will be located at: 20A Oak Branch Drive, Greensboro, N.C. 27407.

The office is open Mondays through Fridays from 9 a.m. till 5 p.m.

Lottery winners can always collect prizes up to $599 at their favorite lottery retail locations. But they must visit a regional office and claims center to collect prizes between the amounts of $600 and $99,999. The offices are also used by the lottery’s sale staff that work in the region and to provide training to retailers who sell lottery tickets in the area. Prizes of $100,000 or more must be claimed at lottery headquarters in Raleigh.

The Greensboro office is one of five regional offices operated by the Education Lottery. The others are located in Asheville, Charlotte, Raleigh and Greenville. A claims office is located in Wilmington.

We are sorry but you have some misinformation. The lottery is not building a new headquarters. The lottery's lease is up at its current location and it is moving to a new location with the goal of having more efficient operations. In case you did not know, of the half billion raised each year for education, $100 million goes to build and repair schools all across the state.

Winners have 30 days to claim a Lucke-Rewards prize. If they don't, we pick an alternate whose entry was drawn in the drawing. We announce the winner when they claim.
