I know some of you guys play a lot and you should know better that to play those XMas cards. They are pure revenue generators. With that said, the top prize odds are the best so a single ticket purchase is as far as you ought to go with it. Its a dud loaded card as they penalize you for the good odds on that top prize. You guys know how they operate by now or at least you should.

I am also curious of the retailers honesty. If a retailer decided to scan the card on the lottery check box that is available for customer use, and pushed the card back in box if loser and sold it to customer would this be detectable?NC Lottery
It isn't possible to check a lottery ticket to see if it's a winner unless the ticket has been scratched. If you ever see anything of specific concern to you at a retailer, please call our security division at 888-732-6235

Funny how you can never get a true total number of entries for any of these contest. I've asked but loto keeps coming back with contact us after the winners have been announced. After reading that the NCEL does not prohibit sellers of scratch offs from buying their own tickets and cashing in on them, I will no longer buy scratch offs in NC. I know that scratch offs are sold in various venues besides convenience stores, but after seeing the high percentage of store owners who cash in very large prize scratch off tickets, I think it is very unfair to the general public. It should be an "Arms-Length" transaction. If they want to play scratch offs, they shouldn't be allowed to get them from their own stores. It should not be impossible to enforce a rule that people who sell the tickets cannot purchase or collect cash prizes from the tickets sent to their store for sale to the general public. I assume there is a record of game packs that they are sent. I know that they will probably just get a family member or friend to cash it in for them, but at least there is an obstacle to discourage them. Just my two-cents. NC Lottery

I would like to make a suggestion. BTW, thanks for making the lottery so entertaining. Let me get to the point. I noticed the drawings are after the fact meaning the event or holiday is over when the drawing takes place. For example, The Holiday Shopping Spree drawing is in January 2016. The Christmas holiday is over. What if the winner wanted to go shopping for Christmas. The Warehouse Dash 1st drawing is perfect because the 1st drawing is Dec 16, 2015 before Christmas. Is there anyway the drawings can be in the same month as the holiday or whatever event is going on? If not, I will be ok. Once again thanks for making the Lottery so entertaining.

No. We use ball machines to draw numbers for both the afternoon and evening drawings. You can see the results either on our website or watch the evening drawings on our draw stations.

I won a 2nd chance in 2010 in the mustang give away. I now see retailers in much area saving the winning tickets tree s that had been cashed in. Then during there down time they are entering those tickets for themselves. Hard enough to win as it is just up against honest lottery players. I hate it when you are asked to step aside for other customers just because you have lottery slips. We need vending machines for lottery players.

I want to know how no stores I have gone to not have the HIT 500 and the website says there are still 733 $500.00 WINNERS out there yet the game is ending Dec. 4 now that I have brought all of the duds the game gets pulled. I even purchased rolls of this game and never got the $500. Matter of fact I never made a profit from the rolls. If you are talking about tickets entered into our Lucke-Rewards program, no. Once you enter the tickets and get your points, you are good. When you use the points to enter drawings, they are linked to your Lucke-Rewards account. If you win, we notify you using the info you provided on your account.
