'Lucky Dog!' Meet some of our players' best friends

Last week we asked folks on Facebook and Twitter to share a picture of their furry friends - and now we're giving them the spotlight. Here are a few "Lucky Dogs" whose owners shared something fun about their pets.

Elvis

"Elvis is our baby. He doesn't know he's a dog. He helps us look after all of our farm animals. We couldn't ask for a better dog." - Ethelyn

"This is our boy Rebel. He is spoiled just a little bit. He eats steak if we eat steak. He's very lucky. But not as lucky as we were to get him!" - Lucy

"This is K and Lucky. My daughter found Lucky after he was hit by a car. K was found walking down a busy street. Lucky is about 7 and K is 6." - LilliAyn

I was using an ipod touch 5 that I bought in april to scan tickets till I dropped it. took 20-25 minutes to scan 75. then started using my wifes new ipad . wow much faster scan. so fast that as fast as I can swap tickets, its done scanning.75 tickets in 15 minutes... I wonder if android is this fast.... does anyone know ?

im looking for advise on what type smartphone to buy to scan tickets.... ios or android ? are all the "bugs" fixed yet? is one better than the other ? NC Lottery
Either should work fine. So buy the one that fits your needs and budget. Technology is changing fast but it is our job to get our products to work for you. Thanks for playing the lottery and helping raise money for education.

Okay, so I am really worried about buying tickets through your subscription service. I received an email stating that I had won in the 12/09/15 Powerball drawing last night. So I logged in, and sure enough, I had "won" four dollars. A four dollar deposit had been put into my wallet. But upon inspection of my numbers, I see that I wasn't a winner at all. I only had one white number. I didn't have the powerball. I wasn't supposed to win anything at all. I just wanted to let you know that something is wrong. NC Lottery

I have a couple of Lucky Dogs too. Shaman was bitten by my older Golden when he was a puppy and the vet said he might not make it. He had multiple breaks in both upper and lower jaws, a seperated palate Nd an eye that was hanging out of his head, but he survived and is now two and healthy. Beamer my younger Golden retriever was bitten by a copper head and lived to tell the story! Lucky

That is one cute lottery ticket. Its is the coolest card the NCEL has issued to date. I love dogs, more so than humans for sure. I wish Id had taken the time to post my little dogs photo. She is a real heartbreaker(Maltese) and her name is Landry after Coach Tom Landry. lol

Wish it would have included kitties! My "Lucky Dog" Best ever, "Tristan" has gone to The Rainbow Bridge After surviving cancer myself lost both parents in 2011 to it and lost my beloved Tristan to cancer Easter of 2014 #CancerSucks

Cool dogs, I would send a picture of mine, but, malnutrition is obvious seeing as how i spend 2/3s of all my little moneys on online Mega Millions and Powerball tickets. Maybe one day, I will win enough to be able to afford a bag of dog food. Pray for me and her.

My friend buys the lucky dog tickets everyday since they came out. All he wins is his money back if that. Ive been buying the ruby red crosswords, and I gotta ask, do they ever win? They never seem to win anything and Im beginning to wonder if there were any winners printed at all! NCEL is playing Scrooge this Christmas. Nobody is winning on any tickets. Doesnt matter what you buy. Tired of playing this game. Never any surprises. Boring and predictable. Bah humbug! !
