Powerball jackpot reaches half a billion dollars

Big just got bigger.

The Powerball jackpot was increased Wednesday morning to a $500 million annuity, worth $327.7 million cash.

In every drawing, we're rooting for someone in our state to become the fourth North Carolina Powerball jackpot winner. But should the jackpot roll again, there is no telling how much it will grow before Saturday night.

Powerball players know there's more than just the jackpot to play for. In fact, over the past 20 drawings, players in our state have won more than $7.6 million. Four tickets won $1 million each and 20 won $10,000 or more.

While it's fun to play for a big jackpot, remember that it might only take one ticket to win a prize - so please play responsibly.

Im not gonna argue with the lotto adm. on a community blog. Thats very immature and self incriminating. Point of story is that in a encomony ruined state the odds of wining our gonna always bee slim to none. And point was proven after 500.00$ in lotto play and won 35.00$ i dont think im the only one that says thats sad and ridiculous. I understand lotto is for entertainment, not to rely to pay my bills. But entertainment, yeah wheres ther entertainment when you cant even win. its not entertainment its a joke

We hear and see alot of complaints for consumers stating the NC lottery is a scam or is rigged in some sort. Therefore we did our own investigation. In some ways you might say that is true. But after our own spent money in scratch offs, power ball, all or nothing, and second chance, and only one 35.00$. I would say there was something going on. I dont know when it would be aired. But I can say play lotto at your own budget and discretion.NC Lottery

For a story with the local news we did an experiment of buying 500.00$ worth of scratch offs. Our winings totaled out to 35.00$. They state education lottery can only fund what it can budget. Therefore if the lottery was footing out thusands and thousands every day where would the funds be for our education. If you want big wins then a better economy state would be the way to go. I do feel like they could make the lottery more entertaining, for ex. 2nd chance you can only enter up to 75 a day. well 75 tickets add up. which 9 times out of ten your not gonna win again so why not give extra points when you enter so many tickets. Most high winings we averaged does come more in the north cities no matter how they suger coat it. But the story can be watched later this week. ill announce laterNC Lottery

I knew it! With the buying frenzy going on, it was bound to happen! All combinations of numbers will be about covered. Multiple winners I hope! Hope that will include me! Shook out my numbers from my pill bottle this morning, went and got my numbers and a quick pick. 4 bucks is all I'm getting. No use in spending a lot of money on tickets! It only takes one!
