Wake County man competes on new TV game show in Vegas

A journey that began with the purchase of a lottery ticket took Kevin Jones of Holly Springs to Las Vegas and then onto the stage of the new MONOPOLY MILLIONAIRES’ CLUB™ TV game show.

North Carolinians who tuned into the show as it premiered this weekend saw Jones compete with other lucky lottery players.

“It has been a thrill ride,” said Jones, who along with his wife made a first trip to Vegas. “It was truly a thrill ride for me and her. And the game show itself was awesome.”

After winning the four-night, five-day Vegas trip, Jones had a bit more luck as a contestant, winning $750 while appearing on the local segment of the show. During the trip, he and wife participated in the game show and enjoyed the Vegas scene, taking in two shows.

Jones said if all the trips are like his, then those who win one are in for the experience of a lifetime.

New trips can be won in the new MONOPOLY MILLIONAIRES’ CLUB™ instant scratch-off game that started March 17th in North Carolina. Our lottery is one of 14 across the nation offering the instant game.

To try and win prizes or the trip, buy one of the $5 scratch-off ticket and see if you win up to $150,000 instantly. Then, enter your ticket here in the Lucke-Zone. For each ticket you enter, you will receive two MONOPOLY lottery properties.

Complete a Property Set and you will receive an entry for the next drawing for a trip.

At least 18 trips will be awarded in three drawings. If you’re lucky, you could wind up on stage with Billy Gardell for the chance to win big prizes – maybe even $1 million. At the show, lottery players are selected at random from the audience to play games based on iconic elements from the MONOPOLY board game. Each show also has a local segment featuring one of the lottery players from each state. Jones competed in the North Carolina segment.

Jones said he’s bought two instant tickets to try and win a second trip. He said he hopes the TV game show is a hit.

“I think it could be,” he said. “I was impressed. I was in awe of how it all went, ‘Lights, Camera. Action.’”

If you missed the premiere of the show on Saturday and Sunday, you can see it Tuesday at 8 p.m. when it debuts on the Game Show Network.

I also know you can not use your phone for monopoly game I was on my I pad as always it will not pull up monopoly game like it use to helpNC Lottery

I just bought a monopoly ticket played it on 2nd chance i summit the ticket but it did not take me to the monopoly board like it use to is that game overNC Lottery
On the ticket entry page, look at the bottom left below your dashboard and you will see a link that will take you to see your MONOPOLY gameboard.

I agree with icon. There should be a lock on the amount if entries. That way luck has a fair chance. Instead there is maximum amount of tickets that can be entered. Which truly tips the scale. Because 75 $20 ticket entry gives exponentially more points than 75 $1 ticket entries. But you guys know what you're doing, robbing the poor to give to rich. Lol

its true we won the first trip to vegas we won 7500.00 on the tv show wonder why they didnt mention us oh well we had a great time. was a lot of fun...would love to go again.

I was looking on my Monopoly board and the properties I got awarded thru the entries havent posted to the board!!! How can I get the board to show me every property I was awarded?

Seen your answer in previous blog that the I should be able to see the monopoly board under my dashboard, but I am using iPhone app and there is no link to monopoly on my dashboard. I have points history, and ticket entry history and that's all. I still can't find the "board", lol. If there is anyone using the iPhone app that can see the monopoly board please let me know where you found it because I have looked everywhere(I think) for it.... Your personal MONOPOLY board can't be viewed from a smartphone. You will need to use a browser from a MAC or PC to get there. Sorry. Sometimes all this technology stuff just won't sync.

I guess I will keep asking a question until I get an answer,that's fair.just answer the question Please. Why can't there be a cap on the entries so it will be fair to everyone,whether it is one entry,ten entries,or one hundred entries,if there is a cap it will level the playing field and everyone has a fair chance.I have been asking this same question for over a week now and without a response I will direct my question to the top officials and ask why my question is not answered.NC Lottery
Again, sorry for delay in response. Just like a Powerball or Pick 3 drawing, it is up to each player how many times he or she wants to enter in a drawing. The more entries, the more chances you have to win. That's just the way games of chance work :-) Good luck to you!
