Davidson, Gaston County tickets split $754,482 jackpot

Lucky tickets bought at stores south of Winston-Salem and west of Charlotte won $377,241 apiece in last night's Carolina Cash 5 drawing.

The tickets were sold at the Welcome Exxon 1-Stop in Welcome and at the Kingsway on Chapel Grove School Road in Gastonia. The ticketholders will split the $754,482 jackpot – the largest in the game since January of last year.

The winning numbers were 13-22-25-26-35.

The winners have 180 days to come to lottery headquarters in Raleigh to collect their prize money.

"Player" is the default display name for folks who didn't pick one of their own, such as "EARL2212". :-D There are lots of folks with that name on the blogs. That said, anyone can change their display name by clicking on your login name at the top of the page to the left of the "help" button.

Sorry, but there's no way to check your ticket on our website. However, we have more than 6,800 retailers across the state, and many of them have self-service scanners that you can use. And, of course, any store clerk should be able to scan your ticket for you.

Got a question to the NCEL. Say you win a large cash 5 jackpot like 200,000 or more and want the NCEL to take out say 30% in federal tax instead of 25% can it be done. When adding the winnings to you job income you will end up owing money to the IRS when your do your taxes for the year you won in seeing as you will be in a higher tax bracket than 25%. NC Lottery
Because everyone has a different financial situation, the NCEL withholds a standard 25% federal and 5.75% state tax on wins of $5,000 and greater. The winner would get a W2 form that they should take to their accountant or a CPA to get some advice on what additional taxes they may incur. Thanks for the question!

Is there a way that you can scan the tickets with a barcode scanner to speed up the process. I don't have access to a smart phone. NC Lottery
Sorry, but we don't currently have any other way to enter tickets other than the smartphone app or manually on the Lucke-Zone website. Thanks for the question!
