Winter weather is in the books. For lots of folks - including our promotions team! - that means getting outside to enjoy everything North Carolina has to offer. We’re kicking off the spring events season Friday at the Fayetteville Dogwood Festival.

Here are some highlights of this annual tradition that is free to the public:

- With more than 25 food vendors, there will be festival favorites like turkey legs, roasted corn, gyros, funnel cakes, and ice cream.

- Country star Craig Campbell takes the stage Friday night, and rockers Quiet Riot and Warrant will co-headline on Saturday.

- On Saturday and Sunday there will be artistic exhibitions and a street fair. The LaFayette Ford Lincoln Car Show is Sunday.

And, of course, we’d love for you to stop by and see us, too. We’ll have all your favorite games and tickets for our newest instant scratch-off game Trucks & Bucks. Plus, when you make a $7 purchase, you’ll get to spin the prize wheel for a little something extra.

We’re proud to support great community events like this one across the state. We hope you’ll come celebrate the 33rd Anniversary of the Fayetteville Dogwood Festival with us.

Congrats to the Dallas couple on their big cash 5 win. While I was reading the story, I can't but help think that Gaston county has won a cash5 twice already! It said that the lucky ticket was purchased at Wills III on Dallas Shoals Highway in Dallas. It was the SECOND time in a week that a ticket purchased in Gaston County captured a Cash 5 jackpot. Now next month here in Richmond county a Lady won a big cash5 April Thompson. If there is only One winner here in Richmond county in a whole year and already double winners in other counties, I just don't know what to think about that happening in other counties. LZ, what's does the data show, what counties has the most cash5 winners. I'm curious to know! Still play cash5 everyday, won 4 numbers right back in November. Will there be a lottery booth the whole weekend NC Lottery
Yes, we're there all weekend. Our booth is on the main walkway heading toward Festival Park, directly across from 225 Ray Ave. We open at 5 p.m. Friday and stay till 11 p.m. Back Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. And back Sunday from noon to 6 p.m. Come by and see us.

No. We sure don't. Tickets are distributed randomly across the state to our 6,800 retail locations. The first person to know about a winning ticket is the person who buys and scratches it. Good luck with the scratching.
