Winston-Salem man wins $20,000 in single Pick 4 drawing

What would you do if you won $20,000 playing the lottery?

When Joey Kiser came to our regional claim center in Greensboro, he said he planned to use his $20,000 in prize money to publish a three-book novel.

We don't know if he was serious or not. But we do know he won by playing numbers he chose in the evening Pick 4 drawing on March 27. He bought four tickets for $4, all for the exact combination of 2-2-6-6, at the Sheetz on Gumtree Road in Winston-Salem.

We congratulate Mr. Kiser and – if he pursues his publishing dream – wish him the best of luck, too.

Just wondering, got an email saying my Subscription is Ending Soon, but it does not end until 4-22 it makes it sound like I have to renew it now. Also when is pick 3 & 4 coming? NC Lottery
For questions about subscription, the best way to get an answer is to call our customer service at 1-877-962-7529. There are no plans at this time to add Pick 3 or Pick 4 to web-based subscription.

Thanks for the question! Lucke-Rewards and second-chance drawings are always held under the supervision of an auditor to ensure that everyone who entered the drawing has their fair chance to win. A random number generator is used. After winners claim prizes, their names are announced here in the Lucke-Zone.

why does take so long to announce the winning tickets on the second chance drawings?NC Lottery
Your question is one that we're asked often :-) Basically, we can't announce anything until a winner responds to our notification AND completes the claim process.. which can take days or weeks depending on the winner. Until we have an official claimant, we don't have an official winner. We understand why folks are eager to find out who won, so we announce as soon as we can! :-D
