Since last Thursday, six players across the state scratched and matched their way to prizes from $150,000 to $4 million.
The biggest win of the week went to Ernesto Mellon Jr. of Newport, who is the second player to win the $4 million top prize in the 100X The Cash game. He plans to use a portion of his winnings to pay off his home and save for the future.
Patricia Everhart, a homemaker from Lexington, says that she’s had a lot of luck playing the lottery’s Millionaire 7’s scratch-off game. Her claim was backed up on Thursday after she won prizes of $20, $40, $500 and $1 million.
Joshua Moore, a landscaper from Mountain Home, plans to use a portion of his $500 a Week for Life! prize to send his daughter to college.
Creedmoor resident Vester Ormsby is the latest player to win big playing Carolina Cash 5. His Quick Pick ticket matched all five numbers in the June 12 drawing to win the $234,265 jackpot.
Michael Williams, a chef from Asheville, said he woke up the Saturday before last in a good mood. Before the day would end, he’d have the good fortune to win $150,000 playing the Trucks & Bucks game.
Chad Harris of Timberlake is the fourth and final winner of the $150,000 top prize in the Joker’s Wild game. He purchased the lucky $5 ticket at Cruizers on North Roxboro Road in Durham.
Fourteen other players scratched or matched for $10,000 to $50,000 this week. They are:

- Kimberlie Temple of Greensboro: $10,000 (100X The Cash)
- Winifred Gash of Hendersonville: $10,000 (Millionaire 7’s)
- Judy Cisom of Kernersville: $10,000 ($2,500 a Week for Life!)
- Thomas Hagans of Kings Mountain: $10,000 ($120 Million Cash)
- Savy Ourng of Lexington: $10,000 ($200 Million Blowout)
- Margie Debnam of Louisburg: $20,000 ($1,000,000 Jackpot)
- Wenona Jones of Marston: $20,000 (6/3/15 Powerball drawing)
- Garrett Martin of Matthews: $30,000 (Lucky Green)
- Jaime Morales of Willard: $10,000 ($4,000,000 Multiplier Spectacular)
