A contractor from Mint Hill won $4 million and an Asheville retiree won $1 million as players across the state won more than $26.9 million.
The biggest winner of the week, James Lampi Jr. of Mint Hill, bought a $20 ticket for the $200 Million Blowout game last month. He drove around with the ticket in his truck until stopping Tuesday at a local lottery retailer to have it scanned. It was only then he realized he had won the top prize of $4 million.
The other seven-figure winner is Arquilla Lance, a retired restaurant manager from Asheville, who won $1 million playing 100X The Cash. “I’d never even played that game before,” Lance said. “I don’t know why I picked it. I was just in the right place at the right time.”
A corrections officer from Northampton County won $750,000 playing Jumbo Bucks. Katina Joyner of Conway bought the lucky ticket after working a 12 hour shift, and couldn’t believe her eyes when she saw how much she won. She plans to use her winnings to buy a house, pay off her car and save for her children’s education.

Question? Why does the lottery censor these comments if you have to be at least eighteen 18 years of age or older? I'blasted the lottery for hiding, I requested to be an audience member of any drawing not by invite but so I could just show up. (no pre- arranged meeting like communist countries practice) no way to stage the drawing if I show up unannounced is there. But as usual no answer from the sinner. lets see if this makes it.
