Mega Millions leads to mega-prizes

Did you know that Saturday was National Dollar Day? What better way to observe the occasion than by winning $1 million on a $1 lottery ticket?

Someone who bought a lucky Mega Millions ticket at the Rose Mart on North Nash Street in Wilson did exactly that. The ticket matched all five white balls in Friday's drawing, beating odds of 1 in 18.5 million. The winning numbers were 1-38-53-63-66 for the white balls and 10 for the gold Mega Ball.

But that's not all...Another $1 Mega Millions ticket from Friday's drawing, sold at the Market Center on Hendersonville Road in Asheville, matched four white balls and the Mega Ball Friday night to win $5,000, beating odds of 1 in 739,688.

Because no ticket matched all six numbers in the drawing, the jackpot for Tuesday stands at a $25 million annuity, worth $15.6 million cash.

Buy cash 5, everyday, meg, and powerball occasionaly. My sons do scratch offs all the time and they get there money back or triple it. They give me all there ticks to enter hoping I might get a big win. Really wanted the panther ticks and had 90 in the drawing. Have several in the 2 chance for the truck and the X drawings. maybe one day I will have my lucky day if God has it in plans for my life.There have been a lot of winners inNew Hanover, pender, Columbus, Bladen and Brunswick Count areas. Remember we have the big powerball winner over here in Brunswick.

Wilmington has had a Cash 5 winner the ticket was bought in the Murrayville area on college rd. In a drawing last month. Check out the lottery facebook page and the lottery Blog it gives you more details.

If the Mega-Million or Power-ball aren't working for you, try the scratch-offs. My wife was fed up with not winning and tried the "50X the cash" scratch of and won $10,000. How about them apples?

you always hear of small towns winning toward Raleigh or the mountain area, but not around four oaks, Selma,micro,pine level,or Princeton, ect.

There are more than half a million Lucke-Zone members. The number of entries made into drawings varies. There were 133,509 entries made in this week's Winning Wednesdays drawing. So far, there are 173,650 entries for the $3,000 Cold Cash drawing. And there are 857,110 entries in the current X the Cash drawing.
