Ultimate Millions scratch-off offers best odds and largest top prize ever in NC

The biggest instant scratch-off game in state history, Ultimate Millions, will show up in stores on Sept. 1. The game begins with four top prizes of $10 million. That’s right. $10 million.

An additional eighteen $1 million prizes can be won instantly in the game. Three second-chance drawings for $1 million will be held on the Lucke-Zone. That’s 25 total prizes from $1 million to $10 million!

The Ultimate Millions game starts with $373 million in total prizes. Players have a chance to win up to 30 times on a single ticket. The game has two other fun features:

Multipliers: Players who reveal a "2X," "10X," or "50X" symbol will multiply the associated prize by that amount.
Instant Win: Players who reveal a “Moneybag” symbol automatically win $500 instantly.

Each Ultimate Millions ticket costs $30 and odds of winning a breakeven prize or better are 1 in 2.82. The odds of winning a $10 million prize are 1 in 3.9 million. Full details on the game will be available next week on our website and in How to Play brochures in stores.

You're welcome to express opinions here that are critical of the lottery, but posts with vulgar language will not be published. Please keep in mind there are more than 800,000 members in the players' club. There were 225,093 entries in yesterday's $500 Quick Cash drawing and there are already 406,505 entries into the Spring Green drawing scheduled for June 7. Anyone who makes even one entry into a drawing has a chance to win; as with all games of chance, it takes luck to beat the odds to be a winner! :)

living in a small county I can't buy older scratch off games with better odds because lottery puts out new games stores put in new games can't buy older games I've help get rid of a whole lot of losers now I have to buy more games when I want the games I'm invested in already I can't be alone thinking this is WRONG should be ILLEGAL

Hey Lucke-Zone.....someone over there needs to do a spell check before putting in online. When you enter in a $30 Ultimate Millions ticket and it shows you how many points it gave you, the word Ultimate is spelled wrong....your missing the "L" . Do I need to come work for yall :) NC Lottery

ok, if you win anything at all with this (or any other scratch off) that has a second chance drawing can you still enter the ticket for the second chance drawing ? The rules on this one say if you win the grand prize you won't be eligble for the second chance.. am assuming that means if you win the 10 ml only ? ( fat chance, lol ) what about if you win any amount at all ?

I want to file a false advertisement law suit on this game. I noticed this a few weeks ago before the ticket came out and I've all ready spoken to a few attorney's. Thought that maybe it was a miss print but now that the ticket came out and the website says the same thing it's no miss print. Wake up people the ticket itself clear states 25 TOP PRIZES FROM 10M TO 1M but THERE'S 4 TICKETS FOR 10M 18 TICKETS FOR A MILLION. Common math 18+4=22 NOT 25. If they try to say the 3 second chance drawings count which never have before with the 10 or 20 tickets then yes it would be 25. But again if u check lucky zone it only states 1 winner of 1million in the drawing. So that only equals 23 still not 25!! Someone doesn't know how to do simple math. Maybe someone can clear this thing up...FALSE ADVERTISMENT!! NOT WORTH 30.00 for the ticket.

Ncel should respect the wishes of the winner if they took a chance and bought a ticket with no guarantee of a big win. Now if you guarantee me a win, you can take all the pictures you and and I will tour NC and be a spokesman for the lottery :). I don't think it's right to compel a winner to have their picture taken today. The Internet is forever and some do NOT like their pictures out on the web Just sayin

Getting your name and picture put out to everybody to see is a bad idea! Everyone will want to try and contact you for charity or a sad story wanting money from you. The media will hound you at your home, following everywhere you go also! If I should win, will get me a lawyer to not disclose my identity.

Technically, by claiming the prize money, you are legally giving the lottery the right to take your picture. If a $10 million winner was adamant about not doing it, there wouldn't be a point in forcing someone to do it. But understand if you win $10 million, the state and national media is going to be even more interested in taking your photo than the lottery is. That's why all of our jackpot winners have agreed to take the photo and share their story so that the world can move on to the next story.

You wouldn't be happier with a much higher chance of winning a million and would throw that away for a much lower chance at 10 million? I'm sorry you are so greedy and can't live comfortably on a million. MORE MILLION DOLLAR WINNERS IS BETTER FOR ALL. I COULD RETIRE ON LESS. I tried to enter online for "second chance drawing" but I get an error message "Entry not recognized. Please check the numbers and try again". Problem is, I scanned it on my smart phone and for some reason, NC Lottery does not have this activated yet for the second chance drawing. Anyone else with this problem?

As we said before, having your picture taken is part of the legal claim agreement. Typically we don't hold folks to it. But for a $10M prize, which is basically a jackpot prize, the lottery could compel a winner to take a photo for publicity purposes.

This ticket already pays out 21 $1 million winners in addition to the 4 $10 million winners. That is a lot of $1 million prizes. So I say hell yes to this idea-all for it. If we spend $20 or more for a ticket the max payouts need to be huge-$2 million or higher for $20 tickets and very huge for $30 tickets. Those kind of payouts give large annuities to work with for a very long time. So anyways, I plan to buy some of these tickets going forwards...right on...

I stopped playing the Lottery sometime ago and it's the best thing I have ever done. I know you can't win if you don't play but that is no so. I have save over $5000 since I stopped playing so I would say I am a winner. Morning paper reads N.C. Lottery turning into a Carnival with all the different ways they now have to take your money and yes more ways to come and it want be a pretty sight.The legislators have banned the state from Video sweepstakes but they are ok with the state sponsoring a video lottery in restaurants,bars and other public places the carnival bakers are out to get your money and its a deceitful way to raise taxes.Studies show it will be paid by those least able to afford it.Moneys that were to be used for education also supplants other funding but does not say what it is used for. With all the Carnival ways to play and more to come it's still very hard for one to win any money of any amount.

Why is it that when a winner decides to take home a 1x amount instead of an installment, they do not take home at least 1/2 the ticket amount? Instead, the winner takes home less, as stated before if u win the $10 million, u take home a pre-tax of $6 mil, but net around $4 mil. Why aren't u taking home a pre-tax of $10 mil and then having it taxed? To be honest, it's a crock of BS! The ticket in general is not worth $10 mil unless u take it in installments. Re: Question and response about winner having to allow photo to be posted. Due to security concerns (which can be huge depending on neighborhood), winner should have the option of not being photographed. Also, the winner should have the option of only having first name and city (ex: William of Pineville) listed in news about the win. Most people would probably allow their photo and names published but for some, security concerns are a big factor and their safety should override the need to share too much info.

A lot of tickets have been printed, makes me wonder how many different winning amounts are on the tickets. who wants to spend 30.00 for a ticket and not win any thing or $1 or $2 dollars. I will play with someone else, cant afford to lose that much on one ticket. I feel that NC lottery is going in the wrong direction, a high price ticket once or twice a year is okay but 30.00 an 20.00 dollar tickets in this state is a bit much.

Under state law, the claim form you sign allows the lottery to take your picture. 99% of the time we let the winner decide whether or not he or she would like to have their picture taken. But for larger prizes, like $10 million, we'd politely insist :-) Good luck!

People don't waste your hard earn money on this ticket. North Carolina lottery is all for themselves. I can see if this was in South Carolina then I wud buy one, but anytime you buy 4 $20.00 tickets in a row and don't win anything that says a lot about this lottery. Yea you might have a few people who in every now an than buy look at the money they are bring in. Not worth it at all. My advice play in Sc it might be a little longer drive but hey you can win and fill up on there cheap gas which is now around #1.90
