'BBQ Bucks' tickets offer cash, BBQ prizes

With fall weather, football and tailgating season just ahead, meet BBQ Bucks: our first-ever scented lottery ticket. When you scratch, it smells like smoky BBQ!

The $2 game begins with five top prizes of $25,000. All tickets can be entered into second-chance drawings as part of the 1,000 lbs. of Pork Giveaway. Ten BBQ lovers will win 100 lbs. of pork and a Big Green Egg grill.

We’re also asking you to weigh in on the age-old BBQ debate in the Tar Heel State: “Which is Best, East or West?” Cast your vote on our Facebook page by commenting “EAST” or “WEST” or vote via Twitter by using the hashtags #bbqbucks and either #east or #west. Weekly drawings will be held to award ten $50 gift cards and a BBQ Bucks T-shirt to lucky winners.

Like most of the player's I have not won anything , I refuse to blame it on anyone we all take that chance by complaining it doesn't make it better that's negative energy try staying positive and keeping the faith and see how far it get u don't give up when u play think big good luck to every one.

Dear North Carolina Lottery Directors. Tonight September you will conduct draws for the Cash Five Lottery Jackpot, which is at $236,000.00. I have played 6 different times your new 30 dollar ticket, and I am very unhappy with it ,it is very misleading and way to expensive to be selling in North Carolina when there are some many poor families whose parents play the lottery in hopes of when there way to a better life but end up getting poorer while the greedy NC Lottery rips off the public with this overpriced ticket!! Shame on the NC Education Lottery Phooey !!!!

I have not received any explanation on how 2nd chance drawing picks a winner. Do they raffle the names of the players or how. Please I would really appreciate any explanation to ease my concern. Thank you....NC Lottery
All winners are chosen via a random number generator. The results are reviewed by lottery security and an outside auditor.

Why is it that it seems 95% of the comments are of a positive tone..I have submitted several comments that are usually never listed or no feedback or.Perhaps negative comment is not liked by the lotteryorg.I have always thought in the business world that a feedback from a consumer,good or bad,wasfor that business to improve with growth.

How do you win, I see many folks from out of state winning...on 2nd chance promotions...I have over 160,000 points on Lucke Zone...still haven't won anything...starting to look like PCH.com...Scam NC Lottery
We've had enough winners to show that our drawings are fair, but we hear that you're frustrated. Remember there are hundreds of thousands of players entering tickets, but all it takes is one lucky entry to win. Best of luck!

Cassandra, I did that survey last year. It actually takes 2-3 weeks before you get your points. Just like they say you will know if you win a 2nd chance drawing by Friday. When sometimes you will not get an email till a week later.

I came off my break from lotto, just to buy one of the BBQ tickets. My ticket smelled like ham it was a very lite scent but it was there, leave to NC. I also won 4.00, lucky me.

I just checked out the winners page. I see you have all 3 of the 2nd chance drawings set for the BBQ. You only have 1 drawing for the Ultimate Millions set, with no drawing date. It only says TBD. So I guess this 2nd chance game will be around for a long, long time!
