Six North Carolinians headed to Vegas for chance to win $1 million

Later this month, six lucky players will travel to Las Vegas for the chance to appear on the MONOPOLY MILLIONAIRES’ CLUB™ lottery television game show.

The players were randomly selected as trip winners after submitting their MONOPOLY MILLIONAIRES’ CLUB instant tickets into a second-chance drawing. Each will receive a five-day, four-night trip to Las Vegas, where TV game show episodes are taped.

Each player will have a chance to be randomly selected as a contestant on the show. Each episode will offer the potential of more than $2.3 million in prizes. The show, which features Billy Gardell of “Mike and Molly” as host, is taped at the Bally’s Hotel & Casino. Trip winners and their guests will stay at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.

“I’ve not really been to Vegas before, so I’m very excited,” said Watkins, a lab technician at a local asphalt company. “I read that the MONOPOLY game show has given away a lot of million dollar prizes, so I am hoping to get pulled up on stage. Even if I don’t, I know it’s going to be a great time.”

"It’s going to be awesome," said Hines, who teaches English at a local community college. "I’ve never been to Vegas, so I’m going to take my husband and make a vacation out of it."

Six more players will be chosen on Sept. 15, so enter as often as you like until the entry deadline at 11:59 p.m. on Sept. 13.
