Although we did not win a share of the biggest jackpot in history last night, 19 North Carolina tickets won prizes of $50,000 or more in the drawing, including two $2 million wins.
The $2 million-winning tickets won twice as much for matching all five white balls because they were Power Play tickets. They were sold at the Harris Teeter on Fayetteville Road in Raleigh in Wake County and at the Food Mart Express on Spring Avenue in Spring Lake in Cumberland County.
Here’s a look at our other big wins that came in 17 cities and towns in 15 counties.
Three Power Play tickets matched four white balls and the red Powerball to win $100,000. Because the multiplier was two, the $50,000 wins were doubled. Those tickets were sold in:
- Mooresville at the Food Lion on Williamson Road (Iredell County)
- Weaverville at the Mountain Energy on Monticello Road (Buncombe County)
- Wilmington at the Speedway on Carolina Beach Road (New Hanover County)

Fourteen more $2 tickets won $50,000 for matching four white balls and the red Powerball. They were sold in:
- Burnsville at Burnsville Gas on U.S. 19 East Bypass (Yancey County)
- Cornelius at the Harris Teeter on Catawba Avenue (Mecklenburg County)
- Kannapolis at the Jiffy Quick on Sloop Avenue (Rowan County)
- Four Oaks at Dunn's Gas and Grocery on East Wellons Street (Johnston County)
- Hickory at Mel's Superette on Old Lenoir Road (Catawba County)
- Indian Trail at the Market Express on Idlewild Road (Union County)
- Jacksonville at the Handy Mart on Lejeune Boulevard (Onslow County)
- Knightdale at Mack's Mart on Knightdale Boulevard (Wake County)
- Mocksville at Rushco Food Stores on Yadkinville Road (Davie County)
- Mocksville at the Sheetz on Yadkinville Road (Davie County)
- Raleigh at the Honest Grocery on Falls of the Neuse Road (Wake County)
- Scotland Neck at the Handy Mart on Main Street (Halifax County)
- Sneads Ferry at the Food Lion on Old Folkstone Road (Onslow County)
- Winston-Salem at the Lowes Foods on Robinhood Road (Forsyth County)
Wednesday night put the exclamation point on a 20-drawing run during which Powerball players in our state won more than $20 million in prizes including 49 prizes of $50,000 or more.
Everyone who took a chance to win a prize can be proud that playing Powerball over the last 70 days generated $38.4 million for education. You can see how lottery funds have been used to make a difference for specific education programs in each of our state's 100 counties on our website.
Thanks for going on this ride with us – let's do it again sometime.

Do you think the winning tickets that were sold in Chino Hills, Cali. and Florida are lost tickets?
Any speculation on why neither has come forward?
Seems to me second time drawings with ticket entries are a waste of time.
congratulations to all that won. I'm waiting for my day
