While there was no perfect ticket for the weekend Mega Millions or Powerball drawings, seven tickets in our state won between $5,000 and $100,000.
Mega Millions tickets worth $5,000 apiece were sold at: Triangle D Food Mart on Creedmoor Road in Stem (Granville Co.); Adam’s Food Mart on Statesville Road in Charlotte (Mecklenburg Co.); and Speedway on N.C. 89 East in Walnut Cove (Stokes Co.).
A Megaplier ticket worth $25,000 was sold at the Glen Lennox Family Fare on Raleigh Road in Chapel Hill. In all, Mega Millions players in our state won more than $170,000 Friday night.
Two Powerball tickets worth $50,000 each were sold in the town of Huntersville in Mecklenburg County. One was purchased at the Harris Teeter on Sam Furr Road and the other at the Circle K on Hylas Lane.
A Power Play ticket worth $100,000 was sold in Iredell County at the Lakeside Food Mart on Williamson Road in Mooresville. In all, North Carolina Powerball players won more than $624,000 in Saturday’s drawing.
Tuesday’s Mega Millions jackpot is a $145 million annuity worth $88 million cash. Wednesday’s Powerball jackpot climbed to a $400 million annuity worth $244.8 million cash. Good luck, everyone!
