Is there something you've always said you would do if you won the lottery? Big winners tell us they are going to do things like take that vacation they've put off, or start college funds.
William White of Casar had a particular purchase in mind. And after winning the $405,396 Cash 5 jackpot Monday night he said he's going to make it: Buy a new tractor. He got his lucky $1 Quick Pick ticket at the Kountry Korner in Vale.
Clear across the state on the northeastern coast, a mechanic from Elizabeth City said he has traditional plans for his prize money. Bobby English scratched off the top prize on a $250,000 Platinum Payout ticket. And he said he plans to pay off the mortgage.

The remaining two winners who won a third each of the $297,276 Cash 5 jackpot in the Sept. 23 drawing have claimed their shares. Martin Covington of King and Hector Salas of Kenly won $99,092 each. The other winner is Claribel Then of Raleigh.

Yes I congratulate all the winners but I'm curious about something do they not send winning tickets to the southeast of the state every time I look at the map there are never any winning scratch offs in our area. Just curious how they disperse the tickets when they are printed. It seems like all the good scratch seem to skip us. Thank you
