First things first, to everyone in North Carolina and beyond, stay safe and take care.
With that said, for those of you in places not at risk, here is some lottery news that is of interest to folks who play Pick 3.
Thanks to the Pick 3 Prize Doubler promotion, players with winning tickets for Saturday's evening drawing will win twice the prize money - up to $1,000 for an exact match on a $1 ticket.
After six drawings and six white balls drawn, only the Green Ball remains. That means every player with a winning ticket for Saturday's evening draw will win double the normal prize at no additional cost!
Winners of $600 or more must claim their prizes at one the lottery’s six claims centers. The offices are open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and are located in Asheville, Charlotte, Greensboro, Greenville, Raleigh, and Wilmington.
Winners of up to $599 can claim at a retail location where lottery tickets are sold. While the lottery encourages retailers to pay out those prizes, some have their own policies about paying out larger amounts. Grocery stores that sell lottery tickets are often a good option.
Remember, you have 180 days from the draw date to claim prizes. If you do come to a regional claim center on Monday, due to the large number of winners, expect that it may take longer than usual to claim your winnings.
Players must bring a Photo ID and proof of their Social Security number to complete their claims. Prizes can also be claimed by mail. There is more information about how to claim on our website.
Again, nothing is more important than safety. Don't take chances with the storm.
