Check those tickets! Eight games ending soon

Eight instant games will end Friday, Dec. 9, so if you have won a prize on one of those games you’ll have three months to claim it.

Here are the games that are ending:

- $10 tickets: Millionaire 7’s and 50X The Cash
- $5 ticket: King’s Ransom
- $3 ticket: Treasure Hunt
- $2 tickets: Cash Inferno and Did I Win?
- $1 tickets: Blackjack and Lucky Tripler

You have 90 days from the date the games end to claim a prize. For these eight games, all prizes must be claimed on or before Thursday, March 9, 2017. Claims of $600 up to $99,999 must be made at one of the six regional claim centers before 5 p.m. that day while claims of $100,000 and above must be made at lottery headquarters before 5 p.m. on that day as well.

Mail-in claims must be received within 90 days of the official end-of-game date. Remember, postmarks will not satisfy the 90-day requirement.

Check your tickets carefully and make sure you're not overlooking some prizes. We'd hate to see anyone miss out on a win.

I agree The the law of averages don't work with North Carolina whoever posted that is 100% right you can't win if you don't print them

The NOEL has managed to defy the law of averages. My friend keeps saying if you buy enough tickets you are bound to win by the law of averages. Still never happens no matter how many tickets are purchased. This is the worst slump I've ever seen for the lottery. What is up with all the losers? Seriously give players a break!

I've been playing since this began. Only won little money on any ticket. However, I still enjoy playing. My main problem is my gmail account. There's a ! Point on your emails. Please verify that this will not stop my chances of winning online drawingsNC Lottery
Your email account has no impact on whether or not you are lucky enough to win a prize. If we're unable to contact you by e-mail, we'll call or even send certified mail if needed.

We wish every ticket could win a prize. But prize money comes from non-winning tickets. We hope you're lucky and getting a winning ticket!

I just brought a $5.00 scratch off "Crossword Money Multiplier". This game should be ended. There is no top prise of $100,000 left to win. I checked this out on NCEL website. I would not have brought this ticket if I had known this before I paid $5.00 and didn't have a chance at the top prise of $100,000. Shame on you North Carolina for false advertisement for this game. There is no top prise left on "Crossword Money Multiplier". I would like to have my money back. NC Lottery
The last top prize was claimed on Monday, Nov. 14, and the lottery began the steps to end the game on Tuesday, Nov. 15. The lottery updates info on prizes remaining daily so players can keep up with that information as they make their choices. Lottery retailers can also help with that information at the store.

Hey LZ, you told us many months ago that it was gonna be made mandatory that members have a username/handle other then the default "player". When is that going to take place? It would be nice to know if one "player" is making 10 comments, or ten players are making one comment each!! It should be a simple update that is looooong over due. Thanx a bunch.NC Lottery
There's a new website in the works, and it's our understanding that change will be part of it. The default "player" has never been something we've been a fan of :-)

You don't need to keep your tickets. If you win we'll notify you by the email or phone number you have listed on your account.

It's our understanding the new scanning feature will be a one-step deal to enter your tickets for points/drawings and check to see if it is a winner :)

If you are a winner, we will notify you via the email address or phone number you have listed on your account. This will happen within 48 hours of a particular drawing.

Good afternoon, Jean. If you are talking about a new smartphone app, that should be out after the first of the year and you will be able to use the scan function to check your tickets.
