Ninety seconds of “heart wrenching excitement.” That’s how Dianna Parker of Columbia describes running through the aisles of a merchandise warehouse in Chicago.
“It was a blast,” Parker said.
Parker is one of ten lottery players to win the Warehouse Dash II second-chance drawing. Winners and their guests got a three-day, two-night trip to Chicago. Parker took her adult son. Once they got there, they had a chance to run through a merchandise warehouse and grab as much as they possibly could.

“You just can’t imagine it until you get there,” Parker said. “You forget about everything once you walk into that warehouse.”
Inside, Parker and her son had thirty minutes to figure out their strategy.
“It’s broken up into aisles,” Parker said. “Most of what we wanted was in the third and second aisle, so we went straight there.”
Once they formed a plan, they had a minute and a half to dash through the warehouse.
“That 90 seconds was heart wrenching,” Parker said. “You’re so ready to just do it, to get all this nice stuff.”
So what did they walk away with?

“I got five TVs, a grill, a tool set for my husband, a luggage set,” Parker said. “I got an Xbox, an iPad, you name it. I can’t even list everything I got.”
Even though Parker is going home with a lot of merchandise, that isn’t what she considers the best part.
“It was being able to take this trip with my son,” Parker said. “I never get to spend a lot of time with him, so this was like Christmas.”
The prize also included deluxe hotel accommodations, and $500 in spending money.
