First Tuesday brings three new instant games

First Tuesday brings more chances for you to “multiply”your fun.

“5X Bingo Multiplier” is one of three games coming to stores Tuesday. The $3 ticket offers the chance to win four top prizes of $50,000. Simply scratch off the caller’s card area and see if the numbers match Bingo on one of the four Bingo cards. There are three ways to win:

- Match all numbers in a complete horizontal, vertical, or diagonal line for a prize of $3-$25.

- Match all numbers in all four corners for a prize of $25 to $200.

- Match all numbers that make a complete X for a prize of $150 to $50,000!

Each Bingo Card has a multiplier star ranging from "2X” to “5X.” If the star is used to complete a line, you’ll multiply your win.

Are you looking for your golden ticket? Well here’s your chance to get one. The $2 “Golden Ticket” offers four top prizes of $30,000. The game also has more than 20,000 other prizes ranging from $50 to $500. All you have to do is scratch off your numbers and see if they match one of the “Gold” numbers.

And if you’re feeling really lucky try playing “Lucky Tripler.” The $1 ticket offers a chance to win ten top prizes of $3,000. Just scratch off the horse shoes and see if you’ve matched the winning number. If you find a shamrock you’ll triple your prize.

Your response did not really answer my question. If your odds are 2.94 and the pack has 30 tickets in it are there 20 winning tickets in the pack or are the odds of 2.94 distributed randomly throughout the billions of tickets printed for that game?NC Lottery
The odds of 1 in 2.94 in no way guarantee that there are 20 winning tickets on the roll. Winning tickets are distributed according to audited lottery industry standards that ensure nobody knows when a winning ticket will appear until someone scratches it off.

I see that many people complain about never winning in Ultimate Millions. Well, I bought ONE ticket a month ago and won $200. Some people do win. However buying rolls of expensive tickets is not the way to do it. This is the game of chance. Just be persistent and don't spend more than you can really afford.

I have a question concerning the odds. I realize when a pack of tickets are bought that they can't at least get there money back. There would be no money made in order to pay out for the higher dollar ticket winners. (Use your head people.) My question is if for instants when a pack of $20.00 Millionaire BUCKS tickets are bought costing $600.00 with the odds at 1:2.94 will there be 10 tickets in that pack that have at least $20.00 wins in it which would only be $200.00? Lottery would still have $400.00 to contribute to the higher wins.NC Lottery
Well, any roll of tickets could have one or more tickets on it worth prizes greater than the price of the pack... a $1,000 prize, $10,000, $100,000 or $1 million prize would clearly exceed the value of a pack. But as you say the important point is that buying one ticket or a pack never guarantees winning more than you played.

The lottery is meant for the poor and usually uneducated. (read some of the posts here for reference)People want to be rich. They want to brag to other people about how much they have.They want to keep up with the joneses, if you will. Enter the lottery(making them feel like they can win). They play on your emotions. So...you spend and spend and spend and you never win big and THEN YOU DIE. The lottery goes on. Hope this helps.

LOL! Sure is funny on 3/1 we have complaints about "All or Nothing" game not having a top prize WINNER in a long long long long time and walla on 3/3 we now have the 5th $250000 WINNER. I play this game everyday and night with different logic (1-12, 8 odd 4 even, 6 odd 6 even, 9 odd 3 even) Turns out today the WINNER was 6 odd and 6 even just not my 6 and 6. Maybe we need to free this computer that is generating the winning numbers up a bit.

There were 15.9 million tickets printed for Ultimate Millions, and 13 million tickets printed for $200 Million Blowout. You can always calculate this number yourself by looking at the How to Play information for any game and multiplying the total number of prizes at any level by the odds of winning it.

I am not saying to complain but the NCEL needs to realize that John Q. Public is very observant and much smarter than they give us credit for. If we as customers don’t police them then the trend that the NCEL has started now will only get worse. It is a classic bait and switch mythology. folks the lottery said it only takes "ONE" entry to win in the lucky zone. i learned a long time ago not to wast my points. I only submit one entry for each game because i know i'm not going to win. sometimes the same people win more then once. i have stop complaining. it does not matter to them. "ALL" they want is your money. i can turly say i saved my money in Feburary i bought less then five tickets and it felt good. GET WISE!!

People complain because they want to see changes. If most losers decide to quit playing, perhaps, there wouldn't be a lottery or very poor sales! All they are asking to have better odds on the rolls of scratch offs. If you buy 15 or 20 tickets off a roll and only win 1 or 2 break even prizes, I would say it need to be revise. I play the Bingo often, and agree that when the color background is yellow, it's difficult to see. What I do is instead of scratching the numbers, I use a pen or pencil and place a mark over the numbers.

At $1, there are 300 tickets; at $2, 150 tickets; at $3, 100 tickets; at $5, 60 tickets; at $10, $20 & 30 there are 30 tickets.

According to the rules, only winning and non-winning draw game tickets with a printed Lucke-Rewards code are eligible. So in order to get points, you have to purchase at a retailer.

The lucke zone games are not right. I have been playing for years and have not even came close. I even do up to 100 entries for some of the games and never get any return. I wonder if the so called winners are even real? As far as scratch off, they are not designed to create any type of big winners. They give you just enough to continue playing.

It's good to see the many negative comments about the lack of winning on instant tickets. The high end tickets are surely losers. Spending big money on these tickets is crazy! I've played since the inception and the odds have surely changed.The lottery people print more tickets and spread the winning tickets out to infinity. What you're referring to does not have any impact on the fairness of the games. Any ticket you can buy at the Highland Creek BP in Charlotte has just as good a chance of winning as a ticket for those games anywhere else. If you'd like to play a different game, try a different store! :)

personally if it were me and " IF" I had a lot of $$ to blow on a half roll ( or even just several) $ 10-$30 tickets I would def. NOT buy them all off the same roll. I have always heard though that Va. and SC seem to have more winning tickets than NC from people that have played the games in all 3 states. Honestly can't tell you if that's so or not, is just the word that goes around.

The odds of winning at least a break-even prize on an Ultimate Millions ticket are 1 in 2.82 - every time you play. Winning and non-winning tickets are distributed at random throughout the entire printing run of the game. Sometimes it just takes one ticket to win. So whatever type of scratch-off you happen to choose, we hope you're lucky on that ticket!

A $5 ticket was originally scheduled to come out today but the schedule had to be changed. Fear not: Next month a $5 ticket that is part of our 10th Anniversary suite of scratch-offs that comes out! :-)

As for scratch-offs: We talk with folks every day to remind them that it takes luck to beat the odds to win a prize, even if you buy a roll of tickets (which is not how we recommend playing the lottery unless you can afford to wager that kind of money with no guarantee of winning). Sometimes it just takes one ticket to win, so we suggest playing when you feel lucky! Good luck :-)

Lucke-Rewards program should have a way of showing how much a person enter bids on redeeming for a prize and sweepstakes. That way a person can decide if they want to enter there points on to win a prize or enter points for a sweepstakes. Also show the highest bids people enter that way people don't waste points. I made request about this new features on the help/faq no response. So my question is when will you all listen to your customers suggestions and comments. Another thing some sweepstake winners name still have not been posted since last year, if there is not a winner pick the alternate. Its unorganized with the post selection of winners there not posted in a timely manner.NC Lottery
The folks in charge of the Lucke-Rewards program read the blog so your feedback is heard. Not every suggestion players have is something that can be done right away or at all. But the next time the Lucke-Zone is updated we hope that it has new features that you and other players like.

My husband and I have bought the ultimate millions multiple times,including buying 6 and 7 in a row and not winning anything, it says on the site and ticket that winners are 1 in 2.94 or something, NOT, that's the biggest lie I have seen even win we have won it's only been 100 once and 60 a couple times, the other wins have only been 30 dollars, but still haven't got that much, seems like the lower tickets have more wins, I have also had numerous entries on these 2nd chance and pnts drawings and I mean tons, but no wins yet, oh well , my fault for spending so much money into it I guess, but it is a fact that NC has the worst pay outs of any state,maybe I should start playing in sc instead haha,or hopefully my nc luck will change, but Def not buying anymore 30 dollar tickets,I'll stick to thw smaller ones until payouts seem better??NC Lottery

We've actually had four top prize winners of $250,000 since the game began. But it has been a long time since we had one. And that is not because the game is any harder to win now than it was when it started; it simply hasn't been as popular as we had hoped. The more tickets that are out there for a particular drawing, the more likely it is that one or more will match the winning numbers.

There is never a guarantee of winning a prize on a lottery ticket. So if $30 is more than you are comfortable wagering on a game of chance, we'd suggest playing a game at a lower price point. Non-winning tickets is where prize money comes from.. that's why $30 could be worth $10 million. Good luck!

I agree on the Ultimate Millions. I have purchased around 100 tickets because I exchange tickets from my small winnings. The most I have ever won is $100 and that was only twice. Aside from that I have won $30 a few times. And I have submitted tons of entries for various drawings and have never won. Sometimes I have up to 50 entries for one drawing and still nothing!

You think the lottery would at least send a t-shirt but don't ask the sales representatives for a shirt, they get an attitude. They forget there bonuses come from tickets sold. Yes the $30 ticket is a huge rip off, it is sad to see people buying multiple and win nothing. I figure to win on lucke zone you have to work at a store that scans tickets as customers leave, I have witnessed this in two stores , and you wonder who actually can enter 75 tickets per day! I agree about the Ultimate Millions. I purchased 30 something tickets in a matter of a few months I am ashamed to say. When I added up how much I had spent I was disappointed in myself. I won $100 twice, $60 once and $50 twice out of 30 some tickets. What a waste. But I should know better so it's my fault.

I am disappointed that I constantly enter the drawings on the Lucke-zone website and have never WON anything from submitting all these points. I mean even the drawings where there are 5 and 10 winners and not one time I have won anything. I wonder if my entries are even getting to the right place. Are they out there in Luckee-space or something? I have been submitting for several years and not won anything. I agree the Ultimate Millionaire is a rip off. Thirty dollars is a lot of money to spend and never win anything. Thanks for giving me an outlet to rant.

The Ultimate Millions game is the most disappointing game ever put out by the lottery. I never win anything and it looks like there are quite a few varied prizes left. If you can't support such a big payout, don't introduce a game with very few winners.
