Lucky for Life update: $5,000 and $1,000 winners

North Carolina players won three $5,000 prizes in Monday's Lucky for Life drawing.

The tickets beat odds of 1 in 143,356 to match four white balls and the Lucky Ball. The winning numbers were 4-7-8-37-41 for the white balls and 1 for the gold Lucky Ball.

The tickets were sold at:

- The S&D Kwik Mart on N.C. 102 East in Ayden (Pitt County)
- The Pop Shoppe on Village Road in Leland (Brunswick County)
- Krossroad Xpress on U.S. 158 in Ruffin (Rockingham County)

We have seen many blog questions about where to find the results of recent second-chance drawings, including the Lucky for Life promotion. They can be found where you expect them to be, on the winners page. But in order to see them, try this:

- Scroll down to the bottom of the screen
- Look to the right and you'll see a pull-down menu
- Click on the pull-down and choose "All"

Now you can see the results you're looking for! But while we're talking about it, here's a list of the $1,000 winners so far in the Lucky for Life second-chance promotion:

Ok, I just want to know when the time shall be to enter a pick 3. For example, I tried to enter pick 3 ticket numbers for second chance drawings totally way after midnight to get my points for certain drawings. Tried to enter these tickets around 1:30 AM the next day and said that I could not enter the same day in which it was not. Is there a certain time in which we can all enter? Kind of confused. Because Pick3 & Pick4 tickets can be cancelled within a certain time period, you have to wait until the next day to enter them here in the Lucke-Zone for points :)

We don't have info to share on top # of entries, but a map of where all the promotion winners were is something we can try to get done :)

A short cut to the entire list of LFL 2nd chance drawing winners. Click on the red PROMOTIONS tab on the top right hand corner of this page. Then click on LFL 2nd chance drawing. That will give you the entire list W/O having to click on each individual red "view" per date! This is the only contest you can do that with.

Ch, it's important that you and anyone else having trouble finding winners. DO NOT click on the tab beside LUCKE REWARDS DRAWINGS at the top of the page. And DO NOT click on the red underlined "view all winners" at the bottom of that section. You must click on the pull down tab beside SECOND CHANCE DRAWINGS. Hope that helps:-)

I am thinking this site is rigged. I submit a lot of tickets and have never won anything. All these players who win must work for the lottery commission !!NC Lottery
Lottery employees are not allowed to play lottery games or enter lottery drawings in North Carolina. All of our practices are independently reviewed to ensure fairness to all players. There are hundreds of thousands of Lucke-Zone members making entries into drawings for a chance to win. The drawings are an extra chance to win, but with games of chance, there's never a guarantee. Play for fun. It's a game. Shouldn't take things so seriously and if losing a few dollars on a game of chance or a few moments entering a ticket. You can't lose any money if you keep it in your pocket unless it has a hole in it.

A purchase made through subscription has just as good a chance of winning as any other. But the vast majority of tickets are sold in stores. As for promotions associated with tickets, check the rules for the particular promotion to see if web-based subscription purchases are eligible.

turbo the only reason we can enter winning tickets is cause they (the state)want us to throw them away more money for them..when they first started letting you enter winning tickets I entered a winning ticket and then seen it was a winner and said something to them and they was like Oh yeah we can do that now...PLEASE put back like it was..

I feel your pain Racing4free ! One guy wins with 4 pts. another guy won a monthly drawing with only 3 pts. I really wanted that big green eggs and had a boat load of entries in that contest. With more players joining LZ everyday and now we get points for winning and non winning tickets. I think that just makes things worse, not better.

Suggestion- maybe you could put something like this " scroll down to the bottom of the screen, look to the right and you'll see a pull-down menu, click on the pull-down and choose "All"...put it on the winners page up were the Winner Notification statement is. Just a thought. But then , I don't they're reading that either. Maybe when you revamp the web site?NC Lottery
We have highlighted the issue for the folks on the lottery side. The Lucke-Zone infrastructure is provided by a third-party vendor. So it is likely that this change would come with a broader revamp.

RACING4FREE, I just wanted to let you know that I only had 4 entries in for the NASCAR tickets. I did not win the big prize but won tickets.I use to spend everyday entering tickets,but I figure even 1 chance is better than nothing.Good luck,you will win one day and I hope it is a big one for you. I do wish there was a cap on entries to give everyone a fair chance,like say if the cap was 10 entries for each drawing,because some people can not afford to buy a lot of tickets to enter in these second chance drawings. Either way I appreciate the chance to win something,thank you.

You don't need to keep the physical ticket. Just make sure to find out if it is a winning ticket or not before you throw it away! :-)

Nope. The rules state you're allowed to win in as many drawings as you enter. In fact, the drawings have no idea which players have entered, the results are totally random and fair to everyone :-)

We expect the other notified winners to claim within the 30-day time frame. But if they did not for some reason, there were alternates selected in the drawing that would be notified.
