Check those tickets! 19 games end today

Nineteen instant games end today, Friday, March 18, so if you have won a prize on one of those games you have three months to claim it.

You have 90 days from the announced end date to claim a prizes.Check your tickets carefully and make sure you're not overlooking some prizes.

The games that are ending are:

Holiday games, including Sleigh Bills, Bah Humbucks, Peppermint Payout, Merry Mega Bucks, and Holiday Gold.
A set of older multiplier games, including 5X The Cash, 10X The Cash, 20X The Cash, and 50X The Cash.
Some of our 7’s games, including Golden 7’s, Bronze 7’s, and Silver 7’s.
$5,000 A Week for Life, Junior Big Ol’ Bucks, $100 Mayhem, Diamonds 2X, Bonus Corners Crossword, Blackjack, and 5X Crossword.

For the games listed above, all prizes must be claimed on or before Thursday, June 16, 2016. Claims of $600 up to $99,999 must be made at one of the six regional claim centers before 5 p.m. that day while claims of $100,000 and above must be made at lottery headquarters before 5 p.m. on that day as well.

Mail-in claims must be received within 90 days of the official end-of-game date. Remember, postmarks will not satisfy the 90-day requirement.

We'd hate to see anyone miss out on a big win.

Question: The $1 Lucky 7's scratch offs show that they are eligible for second chance points, but every time I scan the barcode, it's unrecognizable. I have tried entering the numbers from the tickets and the same thing. I have 4 different tickets and none are recognizable. What is up with these?NC Lottery
If you call 1-855-767-1863 or file an online help form someone should be able to help you figure you what's going on.

We have seen many blog questions about where to find the results of recent second-chance drawings, including the Lucky for Life promotion. They can be found where you expect them to be, on the winners page. But in order to see them, try this: Scroll down to the BOTTOM of the screen, look to the right and you'll see a pull-down menu, click on the pull-down and choose "All" - that should do it!

OK, I'll try. I can view all the scratch off tickets when I go to nc-educationlottery.org and not log in to my account. When I log in on lucke-zone.com I don't see anywhere you can view the scratch off tickets. Hope that helps.NC Lottery
As you can see, there is a lot of information on our website nc-educationlottery.org that is not available here in the Lucke-Zone. One day in the future the two sites may be merged together. But for now you'll have to check our main website for the scratch-off ticket info.

Turbo, there are counties in the western part of the state, Graham, Swain, etc. where there has never been a big (or even moderate) winner.....

I would like for someone to explain how the multipliers are chosen. And why aren't we able to witness it? I find it quite interesting that the multiplier for MM is x4 and x5 quite a bit, but it never really ads up to anything. Yet, in PB, getting the PB correct with a x5, you might actually win your money back. But that x5 rarely shows up. Why is that? And god forbid that x10 ever fall. Ever... NC Lottery

Biggal ... I am not an employee of NCEL, but since you obviously have a computer, checking to see the remaining prizes on a particular ticket is easy. One, you can ask your retailer for a printout. Two, you can go on the NCEL website (http://www.nc-educationlottery.org/games.aspx) click on "games" dropbox and then click on scratch-offs. NCEL has made the opportunities to keep everyone abreast of winning odds, so they do make it as fair for everyone as possible. Some states do not even offer a website showing available prizes.

That's a bunch of bull they need all the prizes claim not 50 percent going back to lottery they are making enough money.Put it on the tickets and don't wait till its time for them to run out.Thats the problem with the lottery they don't put the big winning tickets out there until it's time for them to be ending. Once you've entered a ticket for points, you don't need to keep it. Just make sure it's not a winning ticket before you tear it up or toss it! :)

RUSS - So as you may know, there is a new version of the 20X the Cash game on sale. In general the lottery's goal is to have all the top prizes claimed before a game is ended. But we have to schedule new games and if a ticket has been out there a long time and new inventory is coming it may need to be ended. Anyone who has a winning ticket for this game has three months to claim a prize. And all unclaimed prize money is divided 50% between benefiting education and 50% going back into the prize pool :-)
