Piedmont stores sell lucky Mega Millions tickets

Three North Carolina Mega Millions tickets won big in Friday's drawing. All of them matched four white balls and the Mega Ball.

The winning numbers in the drawing were 5-8-57-59-73 for the white balls and 13 for the gold Mega Ball.

One of the tickets had the $1 Megaplier added and, because the Megaplier was 5, is worth $25,000. It was sold at the Eno Family Fare on Roxboro Road in Durham.

The other two tickets are worth $5,000 apiece. One was sold at the Pantry Shop on West English Road in High Point. The other was sold at the Han-Dee Hugo on Atlantic Avenue in Raleigh.

The jackpot for Tuesday's Mega Millions drawing is a $30 million annuity, worth $19.4 million cash. We hope a North Carolina player wins it. But even if we don't get the jackpot, as you can tell from last night's drawing, there are lots of other ways to win!

I have every right to complain! Been playing the lottery for years and the payouts are worse than ever for scratchoffs. I'm tired of some of you guys telling people to stop complaining. Players have a right to voice their opinions and if more players did, maybe the NCEL would listen!NC Lottery

Made Man, I am a big fan of the repeat/replay feature of the draw games. I do it all the time with the cash5 and get 2 & 3 numbers every week which lets me play on house money. If I would have been doing that with the pic 3 the past week I would have won $500 3 times. I had a brain fart and wasn't thinking. Good luck 2 u.

I couldn't agree more...if u don't Have anything nice to say about NCEL or Lucke-zone then don't say Anything at all!! I love NCEL and Lucke-zone because they have saved My but and pulled my eggs out of The frying pan more than anybody Else has. I am a little agervated That I was 1 number off from Winning $500 off pick3 last night but hey They so it twice a day and do U know of anybody else that just Gives away ridiculous amounts Of $$ if u guess the numbers Right!? FOCUS, I certainly hope you did not think I was complaining. I'm glad to have the chance to play. I've had the pleasure of claiming some nice prizes at the regional office in Charlotte over the past 3-4 years. Oh give us a break ncel. Chances of winning mega Mega millions is like putting a raffle ticket in a hat with every other person in the United States and hoping yours is chosen among all other citizens. Then when all of a sudden three hit in the same geographic area it raises eye brows. We get the population variables but that does not account for the Charlotte area having less winners than groupings in eastern nc. So on the surface it makes no sense.NC Lottery

That's the way it usually is- all the big winners of NCEL games sold in the Piedmont. All the second chance drawing winners, all the Ultimate Millions winners, all the Cash 5 winners, all the lucky players living right in the center of North Carolina. When are NCEL players in WNC (Cherokee, Clay, Graham, Swain, Macon, Jackson, Haywood, and Transylvania counties) going to win a second chance contest or anything else for that matter?
