$314,499 and $250,000 prizes won over the weekend

It was an awesome weekend for whoever bought a couple of big-winning tickets for drawings held over the weekend.

Saturday night, a lucky Carolina Cash 5 ticket sold in Macon County won the $314,499 jackpot. It was purchased at the Bi-Lo on Macon Plaza in the mountain town of Franklin. The numbers drawn were 15-20-30-32-35.

Then in Sunday afternoon's All or Nothing drawing, we had a ticket match none of the numbers to win the game's $250,000 top prize. That winning ticket was sold at the Kanagroo Express on Rea Road in Charlotte. The numbers drawn were:

7-10-12-13-14-16
17-18-20-21-23-24

Lots of big drawings to look forward to this week, starting with tonight's Lucky for Life drawing. Then we have triple-digit jackpots up for grabs in the Mega Millions and Powerball drawings.

If and when this happens, it wouldn't be a player's name necessarily, it would probably still be a screen name. It'd just have to be unique from the ones others are using :)

I see how the North Carolina lottery gave so much money to the school system. I have a $11.000 investment in the $30.00 tickets the biggest Winer i won was one $500.00 ticket.I would love to see there pay.We get nothing!!!NC Lottery

I thought the winners were picked according to who has the highest entries and if not what is the purpose of keying in and scanning tickets, why not just submit your name if winners are picked by a random generator.NC Lottery
All lottery games - draw games, instant games, second-chance drawings and Lucke-Rewards drawings - are games of chance. Entering a Lucke-Rewards drawing is like entering a raffle. The more entries you make, the more chances you have to win. But if you have even one entry in the drawing, it could be chosen to win a prize. Does that make sense?

How many entries a member makes into a Lucke-Rewards drawing is up to them to share if they want to.

What a crock! All the above winners are make-believe. What about that $50,000 Powerball winner from Marble, NC in early January. They never came forward with their winning ticket, did they? See, I do all my thorough research. I won't believe the NCEL or Lucke Zone is legitimate until I hold a winning ticket of my own.NC Lottery
You might remember we had a pretty big Powerball jackpot run going at that time. When that happens, some less experienced players buy tickets. Unfortunately whoever bought that ticket probably thought that, because the ticket didn't match all six numbers, they didn't win a prize. When prizes go unclaimed, half the money goes to education, the other half back into the prize pool for players to win in future games. You have the same chance to win as anyone else. Good luck!

Can the second chance drawings be televised. If how how are the drawing done. Do you put everybody's name in a computer and let the computer draw the name. I am just curious on how this is doneNC Lottery
We use a random number generator, independently certified, under the supervision of an auditor according to specific security procedures. We don't have a contract to televise the drawings - there isn't anything fun to watch like with ball machines. But if you want to watch the process in person at our Raleigh HQ, you're welcome to - just call our security division.

We review all comments to make sure they meet our community standards and to see if they need a response before we post them. You probably posted comments on previous blogs, so you can go back and look. One thing is your screen name is still set to the default "PLAYER" which makes it harder to tell your comments apart from others.
