Trio of 'Lucky for Life' tickets win $5,000 apiece

The hits just keep coming thanks to Lucky for Life. Three tickets for Thursday's drawing won $5,000 prizes.

The tickets were sold at:

- The Food Mart on Central Avenue in Charlotte (Mecklenburg County)
- Sam's Mart on Jake Alexander Boulevard in Salisbury (Rowan County)
- Sam's Pit Stop on Jefferson Street in Whiteville (Columbus County)

The tickets beat odds of 1 in 143,356 to match four white balls and the gold Lucky Ball. The winning numbers in the drawing were 8-12-27-32-39 and 8 for the Lucky Ball.

In Monday's drawing, three tickets won $5,000 prizes and another won the game's second prize of $25,000 a year for life – the fourth North Carolina ticket to win the second prize since the game came to our state in February.

A free ticket promotion is in effect through May 14. Just make a $4 purchase on a single Lucky for Life ticket and a free Quick Pick ticket will be printed at no extra cost. When you make a qualifying purchase, ask for your free ticket to be sure you get an extra chance to win the prize of a lifetime.

What will the next Lucky for Life drawing bring? We'll find out Monday night!

Amazing how 10 consecutive years of record-breaking revenues for the NCEL, education is being funded by decreasing amounts year after year. Apparently, players aren't the only ones getting scammed. NC Lottery

I tried at 9:00pm, 11:00pm and 11:24pm and it still won't work. This is very upsetting. I have tickets to enter and want to put more entries in the drawings. This is so wrong for it to happen at this time. It seems UNFAIR to all of the players that have put so many points in already and want to put more entries to up there chances. I will be one unhappy camper along with probably 1000's of others if it doesn't work on Saturday. 40,000+ POINTS already.

I've been trying since this morning to enter tickets and it still won't let me this is very bad timing as far as the 10 times do you know when it will be back up? it will let me do everything else but that maybe there should be an extension because we can't enter our tickets to get the 10 times points. Out of all of the people that I've spoken to about this new game (Lucky for Life) I haven't been able to locate one person that has won anything. Nothing! I've had better luck with Mega or Powerball and those are hard games to win anything with....Sorry, but I'm leaving Lucky for Life. I have lost interest.

This is one of our most frequent questions we get from folks in small towns. It isn't harder to win a prize on a lottery ticket in small towns. There are just more people taking a chance to win in big towns. Good luck to folks in Eastover, Wade, Dunn and Stedman.

Lucke-Rewards has been unavailable since early this morning. I get an Error Message when trying to access it from my PC - and a message "Website is currently down for Maintenance" on my iPhone. When will it be available so we can enter Tickets? Very bad timing at the end of the month. Also, how about posting an Alert at the NC Lottery Homepage to advise us of the Outage and giving a projected time for it to be resolved? Thanks! NC Lottery
