Two Lucke-Zone members will share an unforgettable experience at the Charlotte Motor Speedway during the NCEL 200 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Race.
Dyah Nixon of Stanley, will serve as the grand marshal for the race on May 20. She will deliver the most famous words in racing: “Drivers, start your engines!”
“She was surprised when she won,” said Nixon’s husband Wayne. “This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience.”
McKinley Bryson, a former member of the Air Force and comedian from Durham, will be the honorary starter. He will drop the green flag signifying the start of the race.
“When I got the call I had to sit down,” Bryson said. “I’ve been on the phone ever since telling people.”
Bryson served in the Air Force for almost twenty years. Now he’s a comedian known as The Grave Digger and performs around the country.
While he’s excited about the race, it’s his big moment he can’t wait for. “Winning was awesome, but dropping the green flag will be amazing,” Bryson exclaimed.
Bryson will share his VIP experience with his brother who’s an Army veteran. His brother was 11 years old when Bryson joined the Air Force. Bryson says having his brother at the race will make the experience unforgettable.
The two lucky winners were selected via a second-chance drawing here on the Lucke-Zone. The prize includes a VIP experience with pit passes, a behind-the-scenes tour, and a bird’s eye view of the race from a suite high above the speedway. The winners will also receive VISA gift cards and a NASCAR race ticket package to the NCEL 200 Camping World Truck Series race, NASCAR Sprint Cup Series All-Star race, NASCAR XFINITY Series Hisense 300 race and the Sprint Cup Series Coca Cola 600 race.
As part of the drawing, 20 more winners received the NASCAR race ticket package at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
