$50,000 Powerball tickets sold at Triad stores 20 miles apart

A pair of lucky tickets sold in the Triad area won $50,000 apiece in Wednesday's Powerball drawing - at stores just 20 miles apart.

One ticket was sold at the Lee Street QuickStop in Greensboro. The other was sold at the Food Lion on Union Cross Road in Kernersville.

The tickets beat odds of 1 in 913,129 to match four white balls and the red Powerball. The winning numbers were 20-32-52-66-69 and 23 for the Powerball.

Big Winners

With no perfect ticket for the drawing, the jackpot rolled to a $50 million annuity worth $33.1 million cashwww.nc-educationlottery.org/powerball_how-to-play.aspx for Saturday's drawing.

We look forward to seeing if we have more lucky Powerball tickets that night!

Speaking of ODDS...Since 2013 my loser scatch off cards have generated over---- 157,000 points ----..all have been punched to win in cash contests--over 75 catagories... NEVER A SINGLE PENNY OF WINS...And a local doctors has won big bucks in 2nd drawings---twice ... How are 2nd chance winners chosen--anyone know ????NC Lottery

hey lucky zone .. can u answer a few questions for me when will the terminal get updated or new ones put in? also the machine with the tickets in them ... Like food loin harris teether ect..... when will all esp. food loins get new machine the ones with the on line drawing in the machine so u can pick from them like at the counters... would love to see them in most all stores i think some areas esp. the lottery would appricate and benefit from more new/latest machines .. thanks and even if the pick 3 and 4 could b in the machines that would b awesome... thanks for your time and how would i find the response after i leave a comment??NC Lottery
We update equipment at stores in as timely a fashion as possible. We don't have a schedule that we can point to in terms of when specific stores will get new equipment.

How long before tickets expire for entering for points for Luck-e-rewards?NC Lottery
According to the rules, an instant scratch-off ticket is eligible for Lucke-Rewards points for any game that has not passed that game's posted claim deadline. The Lucke-Rewards Entry Code on a draw game ticket expires 180 days from the purchase date printed on the ticket.

To find out how many tickets were printed for any instant game, go to that game's page on our website and click on the How to Play & Odds link. Then, multiply the number of prizes at any level by the odds of winning a prize at that level. For example, a ticket that starts with four top prizes of $1 million and 1 in 1 million odds of winning the top prize started with a total of 4 million tickets. Make sense? :-)
