Celebrating 10 wins of $100,000 to $4 million this week

The weekend is here again. Since last week's winner wrap-up, 31 times lottery players had good luck to win $5,000 or more - including 10 prizes of $100,000 to $4 million.

Sarah Wilson, a cashier from the mountain town of Franklin in Macon County, said the $4 million she won playing 100X the Cash means she can take her grand kids on a dream trip to Disney World.

An equipment operator from Sanford in Lee County scratched off the top prize on a $250,000 Fortune ticket. Guadaluple Rivera bought his winning ticket at the Value Mart on Carthage Street in his hometown.

Jackie Paschall from Hillsborough in Orange County won $200,000 playing 10th Anniversary Spectacular. Paschall, a paralegal, bought her winning ticket while she was celebrating her eleventh anniversary with her husband.

Another 10th Anniversary Spectacular win came in Burke County. Naveed Anjum from Jonas Ridge bought the winning ticket at the store he owns, Mountain Crossing, on N.C. 181 in his hometown.

Michael Idol of Archdale has been a warehouse worker for over 38 years. After winning the April 29 $193,665 Cash 5 jackpot, the Randolph County resident is planning to retire in 2017.

A nursing assistant from Moore County says her Cash 5 jackpot will help her buy a dream home. Carrie Johnson of Southern Pines won $154,939 in the May 4 drawing.

A Cash 5-winning couple from Charlotte used their lucky numbers to win a $110,198 jackpot. Lloyd and Rose Shipp, who work as a delivery driver and school cook respectively, won in Sunday's drawing.

A Crossword Money Multiplier ticket spelled $100,000 for a Scotland County warehouse worker. Denise McKenzie of Laurinburg said she decided to buy a lottery ticket because her hand felt itchy.

Kimberly Goins said finding out she won $100,000 in Saturday's Powerball drawing made for an unforgettable Mother's Day. "It's the best Mother's Day present I could ask for," the Hoke County woman said.

A couple from Greensboro won $100,000 playing 10th Anniversary Millions. Sharon Williams is a high school teacher and her husband Johnnie is a criminal magistrate. They plan to renovate their home with the prize money.

Big Winners

Two players won $50,000 instantly:

- Revonda Stamey of Waynesville (Junior Big Ol' Bucks)
- William Bryant of Morganton (Platinum 7's)

Two more won $20,000 on instant tickets:

- Denise Worthington of Greenville (Carolina Black)
- Tamara Walker of Wilmington (Ultimate Millions)

Four players scratched their way to $10,000:

- Aleasa Goldsmith of Durham (King's Ransom)
- Joseph Walker of Elizabeth City (5X The Cash)
- Don Severt of Lexington ($200 Million Blowout)
- Judy Perry of Zebulon ($250,000 Fortune)

Thirteen more won $5,000 prizes. Three of the winners were from Raleigh. The other 10 were from: Baily, Cary, Charlotte, Hickory, King, Monroe, Murfreesboro, Pinnacle, Warsaw, and Winston-Salem.

Now I know for a FACT that the NCEL are liars . It is a fact the woman in Franklin bought her ticket while working !!! Just like the Fact that the lottery wont televise the 2nd chance drawings so people can see that it isn't FIXED ! They don't because IT IS FIXED !! Answer that NCEL !!! Why cant you do that ? LOL

The integrity of your games is Not important !! Word in town of Franklin is the big winner bought her ticket while on the clock working !!!! Seems like you should have checked to see if this was true; quite of few ways NCEL could have done that but didn't . They say taking money for debts owed is a state law but fail to mention they COLLECT a fee for doing so . The fact the Franklin winner bought her ticket while working shows there is no integrity to the lottery and how it is run !!!NC Lottery
When a player has a retail association, a prize claim is given extra scrutiny by our security staff. When the prize is awarded that means there is not a concern about the legitimatcy of the win. The lottery receives a $5 processing fee for following the law and collecting an unpaid debt owed to the state - something many players are relieved about because their good luck helped them get rid of their debt. Those fees go with all our other profits to education.

Praying to win soon:), fingers crossed!!!!!! Some people are purchasing and entire package of the new black scratch off cards. I can't compete...I use to purchased $300 worth of $30 tickets every two weeks and the most I've won is $1,000. Good luck to everyone??

Thank you 5xchamps but as you see the lottery doesn't care about the integrity of their games or about any hint of cheating !! They only care about making money . Also be careful people about cashing winning tickets . The NCEL is in bed with any state agency that you might owe money to including hospitals !! Workers at stores Definitely have an advantage watching tickets being bought and seeing trends !! Who even knows if she was working or not ? We only have her word . This only shows the lottery is not concerned with the Integrity of their games!!!! Casino workers where I live are NOT allowed to gamble there for just that reason ! Any question which raises a red flag should bring them concern !!

I kind of agree that people should not be able to buy tickets where they work. They may not know all the losers but see a trend. Good for them they win, but a little suspicious. Hopefully my day will come soon.

Strange to me that the winner from Franklin had already won 100,000 last year ! Should people who work at lottery retailers be allowed to purchase tickets at the store where they work ? The chances of winning once are big , but Twice in the same small town ? Makes you wonder ?NC Lottery
We've had lots of people win big prizes more than once. For example, Dan Royal, a carpenter from the small mountain town of Forest City in Rutherford County, won $750,000 on Jumbo Bucks and a top prize on $5,000 a Week for Life.

My day is coming soon I feel so I can finally get my company going I've always wanted. I have played 300 plus $30 tickets and have not won more then $200 a couple times $9000 and only $200 it has to be coming i pray.. One time 8 losers in arrow on the ultimate millions and then the 9th was a $30 LOL.

I do have to say, I don't like it when the owners and cashiers at these stores get to buy tickets while at work or at all. They have an advantage by seeing which tickets are winning or looseing. Example they watch someone buy 3 ultimate millions all loose. She knows more than the next customer that Very good chance next tickets gonna have winner. So. They buy it. And let the other people buy up all the crap. Good luck all
