The Ruby Red Hot Summer Giveaway is off to a sunny start.
After nearly 200 Facebook comments and tweets combined, Connie Bolick Lee's lucky entry was chosen at random, making her the first to win a $100 gift card in the promotion.
What made the responses sparkle was the variety of things folks said was their favorite about North Carolina in the summertime, including some fantastic photos.
We can't share them all, but here are some highlights:
Christina said she loves to visit our state's beautiful mountains where it's a few degrees cooler.
When it comes to summertime in the Tar Heel State, Jeffrey likes to get out and ride.
Charity said it isn't a Ruby Red Hot Summer unless she can hang out with her girl.
Play ball! Ronny said going to a ballgame is what this time of year is all about.
Sheila said, with the $500 she won playing Ruby Red 7's, she's going to enjoy it at her favorite summertime destination: The beach!
