Mega, Power jackpot annuities total $658 million

As Americans head into the Fourth of July holiday weekend, there is a chance for some fireworks Friday and Saturday night thanks to two big jackpots for the multistate lottery games.

At $415 million, the Mega Millions jackpot annuity for Friday's drawing is the third-largest in the game's history. A winner would also have the option of a lump sum of $286.4 million.

Saturday night, Powerball players have the chance to win a $243 million annuity or $165.9 million cash.

North Carolina has had six multimillion dollar jackpot winners of $12 million to $188 million.

What does it mean when it says..winner notified..to be announced..how do you know if you are a winner???????NC Lottery
It means we've notified the winner. But we can't announce a name until the claim process is complete. If you are a winner in a Lucke-Rewards or second-chance drawing, you will be notified by e-mail within 48 hours of the draw date. If we don't hear back we'll call and send certified mail if needed.
