Triple 5's pay out millions to Pick 3 winners

It's high fives all around for lucky winners who played the number 5-5-5 in Monday's evening Pick 3 drawing. The winning combination means a $2.9 million in prizes.

Each three-digit combination in the game has exactly a 1 in 1000 chance of coming up in a drawing. Last night was the ninth time Triple 5's have appeared.

Whether you like to play triples, have another set of numbers, or just like to Quick Pick, we wish you the best of luck in the next drawing :-)

I know this is an older post, but just wanted to thank 87SUPEGLIDE for taking the time to create a spreadsheet and stats tracking lottery winnings. I for one would be interested in any other info you have.

Here's some other stats for scratch offs: Winning percentages for all prizes above $1000 by geographic region: Western - 7.02%, Piedmont - 38.92%, Eastern - 19.44%, N/A (or no location) - 34.63%. When it comes to BIG prizes, $100k and over: Western - 6.78%, Piedmont - 39.44%, Eastern - 16.5%. As for cities, Charlotte has the most wins with 5,423 with Raleigh 2nd with 3,904 wins. Not surprising though is Raleigh has won the most money at $26 Million with Charlotte 2nd winning $22.8 million. And the N/A (unknown locations) winning a whopping $184 million. I'll run the numbers by NCEL customer service regions and post later.NC Lottery

Sharon, I don't know if they are shop owners or employees, etc. How I got the numbers was to download the instant ticket winners directly from the NCEL Winners page and put them in a spreadsheet and tallied the numbers. I won't put the names on here since that's not the reason for my post. LZ, you didn't post my previous comment where I stated that I was looking at instant game winners, not any draw games. And I know the difference between LZ drawings and second chance drawings. Turbo, these numbers are only from instant games.NC Lottery

Sharon , don't let the numbers/percent BS fool you or confuse you. Lots of people hit the pic3 0r pic4 big time by buying a $10 or $20 ticket that day. NOT everyone buys just a $1 tic. I hit big time once on a $5 pick4. Did I win 5 times or just once ? You be the judge :-).

One person who has won 51 times has won 76% of the time using one particular store, and wins on average every 45 days. **************************** are those store owners or managers/other employees at the c stores perhaps ? ( I've seen where one store owner in Sanford has won several times, big time ! )

You are also confusing the difference between the Lucke-Rewards drawings and game-specific second-chance drawings, such as those for Ultimate Millions. What is displayed on the website is not a comprehensive accounting of all lottery wins and data associated with the claims, it is for the interest and entertainment of players. More on comment submitted on 7/26. The N/A location disclaimer on the NCEL web site indicates "† second chance drawing, online purchase, new retailer or retailer no longer active." Well there is no online purchase for instant tickets, second chance drawings are not tied to a specific instant game, a new retailer can't sell tickets without being active in the system, and if a retailer is no longer active you still have the retailer name in the database. None of the disclaimers are legit so why are 34.63% of the winning ticket retailer locations not shown? And given that 29 N/A locations were posted just for the month of July so far, the disclaimers don't make sense. Those N/A locations need to be corrected so we can get a true picture of where the prizes go. When it comes to multiple winners, there are 729 who have won 10 or more times with the top person winning 53 times. One person who has won 51 times has won 76% of the time using one particular store, and wins on average every 45 days.

I played it also 5'xs last Monday July 18th daytime didn't think about yesterday missed out, but that's how my luck goes missed 0297 on pick 4 July 25 daytime played it exact daytime with $1.00 any order missed it..
