How to get a Mega ticket online for tonight's draw

You have probably heard that the Mega Millions jackpot has gotten pretty big. It's up to a $540 million annuity ($380 million cash) for Friday's drawing.

You may also know about our web-based subscription service that allows you to make a purchase online to play the jackpot games Carolina Cash 5, Mega Millions and Powerball as well as Lucky for Life.

But did you know that you can buy a ticket for a single drawing? When the subscription service began in 2013 there was a minimum purchase of a week's worth of tickets. But now single draw tickets are available too :-)

If you haven't already, it's free and easy to register as a member here in the Lucke-Zone. Then just click on Subscriptions to choose what games you'd like to play.

You'll have the same chance to win whether you get a ticket the old fashioned way or through subscription. Either way we wish you the best of luck!

My wife and I bought 6 400,000 bonus cash tickets at the Joy Mart in Durham today and guess what-not one single payoff. This overall odds of winning is a farce. It states per the back side of this $5.00 ticket overall odds of winning, including break even prizes are 1:4.07. I think we will start putting our lottery playing money aside for the Harrah's Cherokee Casino-at least they give us free hotel stays and we don't do to bad there not a lot, but something.NC Lottery
The odds of winning are 1 in 4.07 on each ticket you play, buying several in a row doesn't guarantee you'll get a winning ticket - the winning tickets are distributed at random. Sometimes it just takes one ticket to win a prize. Good luck to you.

Off subject or topic because i didn't know elsewhere to post this, is there going to be another game replacing that crappy All or Nothing? Like a 6 number draw game or any other multi state games?NC Lottery
We added the multistate game Lucky for Life in February. We don't have any other games to announce at this time.

To turbo and others I 100% agree and if anyone has Wells Fargo and can use this service can you please tell us how you got them to authorize. I have called them and they will not allow the transactions due to the merchant code the subscription service is using. If it wasn't such a hassle I would switch banks. I am just hoping something can fix this or we can buy subscription gift cards at retailers. I was hoping a visa debit gift card would work but I bought one and tried but the transaction was declined. I am so bummed wish I could use this awesome service I hate waiting on line to buy tickets.

, th21375, NO bank should be able to block a transfer of money! That's like them saying u can't make a transaction on ebay or amazon because they don't want u 2.

I really want to use this service. I love the convenience but I have Wells Fargo and they block these transactions. I would like to know if you would consider selling gift cards for subscription service at retailers so everyone can use this service.NC Lottery
The lottery's decision-makers read this blog so they'll see your suggestion. But since you mentioned it, couldn't you buy a prepaid VISA or MasterCard debit card and do the same thing?

Thanx 4 the quick response LZ. Now that u mention it, when I 1st signed up I might have used my ACH "checking" account info, even though that is where my visa debit card $$ comes from, I might just have to update things. Thanx again and have a safe weekend everyone.

LZ, 1 more thing b4 u sign off 4 the weekend. When one wins a big PB or MM jackpot it is national news where that ticket was sold shortly after the results of the drawing has been verified. If someone were 2 win online, would the media know it was someone from BF Egypt NC also???NC Lottery
The initial information would be known that someone in North Carolina won. Where they bought their winning ticket - at a store or via subscription - would be news that would not be immediately a matter of public knowledge :) Have a great weekend!

Missy, I use my Visa debit card and it works. I was having trouble with the GEO location verifier. But that changed when they upgraded the site to except single day purchases.

Lucke Zone you are the greatest. I totally forgot you can purchase online. I know last year I was trying to purchase online and it kept declining and I had funds in my account. Then someone said it had to be a MasterCard Debit instead of Visa Debit. Well what ever it was it's fixed now. I just purchased more tickets online. Good Luck to everyone!!!!

Unless things have changed you won't be able to buy a ticket online 4 tonight's drawings unless u already have $$$ in your "wallet". That is the term 4 your subscription online bank. It always takes 10 days for the money to go from my hometown bank account to my LZ subscription account. Once you put $$ into your account you can not withdraw it, only your winnings. Other then that I love the subscription service.NC Lottery
Thanks for mentioning this. So we checked with some folks on this, and it depends on the payment method used. If it is an ACH bank transfer using the routing and account info, it can take days. But if you use a Visa or MasterCard debit, it is usually much quicker. So there you go :-)
