Players start week with shot to win 3 big jackpots

The big football game is set to kick off in a couple weeks. But, with large prizes up for grabs in for all three jackpot games in North Carolina, players here don't have to wait that long for a chance to win big.

Heading into Monday's Carolina Cash 5 drawing, the jackpot stands at $805,000. It's the second time already this year that the jackpot has grown to this size. Three tickets split the Jan. 12 jackpot worth more than $1 million. We'll see what happens next.

Then in Tuesday's Mega Millions drawing, players have the chance to win a jackpot annuity estimated at $177 million, worth $106 million cash.

And Wednesday night Powerball players are taking aim at a $170 million jackpot annuity, worth $103 million cash. On Saturday night, two tickets in North Carolina won $50,000 each.

@ BIGWIN - If you buy five $20 instant tickets, each ticket will be worth between 20 and 200 Rewards points. Once you enter them for points, the physical tickets are no longer part of the equation for Lucke-Rewards drawings. Your points are tied to your players club membership, not the tickets that you entered to earn them. If you enter a drawing once, you have one chance to win. If you enter a drawing five times, you have five chances to win. A certified random number generator is used to draw winners from the enter range of entries made into a particular drawing. How does entries in a second chance drawing actually work. Ex. If I buy 5 $20 tickets, and each ticket is worth 20 points which gives me a total of 100 points correct. If I enter the $2000 weekly quick cash second chance which cost 10 points per entry, that gives me 10 entries correct. How do you know which entry match which ticket and do you really have 10 entries or 5 entries, because I bought 5 tickets with 5 different bar code numbers. Don't you have to identify those entries by the numbers on each ticket's bar code and you really don't have as many entries as you are led to believe. Please explain.NC Lottery

Cash 5 and Powerball Still need more winners in the small towns. Seems they are winners in the more populated areas of North Carolina where there is more money spent on the lottery. Not quiet fair for those who play every week. Can't compete with the larger population towns.NC Lottery
It's not easier or harder to win the lottery depending on where you live. If you were to move to Charlotte and buy a lottery ticket, you'd have the same chance of winning as you do on the ticket you buy in your hometown. You'd just live around a lot more people taking a chance to win the lottery :-) Good luck!
