If you are looking for a place to play Carolina Keno, look for a place where people gather for fun times with friends and family.

Just like any other sales organization, the lottery offers new games and promotions to keep its products fresh. There’s drawings to win jackpots. There’s daily drawings with top prizes of $500 or $5,000. And now you can play our new draw game, Carolina Keno, offering the thrill of winning prizes in drawings every five minutes.

Drawings every five minutes makes Carolina Keno different. But what’s also new about Carolina Keno is that it’s designed to be played in “stay and play” locations, yes, some of your favorite hangouts.

Say you’re out on the town for a night to catch up with a friend. Or you join a group to watch a football or hockey game. Carolina Keno just adds one more layer of entertainment to the experience.

Since Carolina Keno started, we’ve had lots of questions about where to play. As of Friday, Carolina Keno is in more than 670 locations. You’ll find it in restaurants, bars, taverns, fraternal organizations, bowling alleys, pool halls, and convenience stores with social settings.

Some have asked why the game isn’t offered in more traditional lottery stores. Many of the Carolina Keno locations are convenience stores, but they are those that have an area where people gather socially.

ok, trying to figure out the new website...wow, what a change ! Is this where the blog is going to be from here on out? 'Bout never found this area and perhaps many others aren't finding it either or... do I need to be looking somewhere else too for more chit chat ? Found this under the " about" tab then news blog. I think, personally, a news blog tab alone would be great at the top of the page . :) NC Lottery

I found the second chance entries, click on your username and it shows different functions associated with your account. Click on "Draws" and it takes you to a new page that shows both Lucke Rewards and Second Chance drawings with your number of entries and the winners. Not sure why they went this route but it is not the easiest way to find the information. OBTW there is still no running tally of the total number of entries in each drawing. Also note the blog now uses your first name and the first initial of your last name, not your username. Don't particularly agree with that for player security reasons, the preferred way to get rid of "Player" usernames would be to require players to update their usernames on the first login to the new site. A simple script would have accomplished that very easily.

Why are we no longer able to see the list of who won the monthly drawings and when will the android app be available? NC Lottery
Hi Johnny! Don't worry, you can still find out who won the monthly drawings. Simply log in and go to your "User Dashboard". Once there, you can click on the "Draw" icon. By default the "My Entries" box will be checked. If you un-check it, you'll be able to see a list of drawings and winners if they are available. As for the Android app, it should be available in a couple of days. It's just going through the approval process and should be ready soon! I hope this helps!

So I log into Lucke-Zone this morning and get redirected to the new website. It'll take a bit to learn to navigate but the new site is ok but nothing special. Went to enter some rewareds drawings and noticed the "Winners" link is missing from previous drawings. Why? Also they dropped the options to see all, active or expired drawings. The Second Chance links only take you to the rules, you can't see how many entries you have in the drawings - and the Ultimate Millions second chance entry period closes Nov 17 - hope you Rewards Members wrote down how many entries you had because we may have lost them. Obviously the new website is NOT ready to go live, LZ should stay online until ALL functions are working, SMH.

The new app is horrible and confusing. I don't understand and unable to download the app on my iPhone from the app store.It is nowhere to be found NC Lottery
Charlene- We understand that it will take a little bit to get used to where everything is on the app. You should be able to find the app on Apple products by looking for the NC Lottery Official Mobile App. It will also have the lottery logo next to it.

There are only two locations in my county which offer Keno. There are now several of us which gather to play for about an hour an evening. We love the keno and several have been quite lucky; however, the consensus of the group is that there are too many commercials and not enough screen time showing the winning numbers. We have one ticket checker; however, it is located near the cash register and can at times block the area for regular store traffic. Also, our store is extremely busy with regular customers and trying to purchase keno tickets even for several consecutive draws can be a little trying. Is there the possibility of additional ticket checkers in the keno area and machines to purchase tickets such as those currently in some stores to purchase scratch and online tickets? Lucke-Zone Replied "No. But if you tell us which drawing you are interested in, we'll get that number for you." Once again an LZ member is asking for the number of entries in the drawings. We've been asking for entry totals on the drawings for over a year, why will you not update the web page to show that information?

Hey Harvey. Carolina Keno is a new game, but we understand some folks will enjoy more traditional draw games. We try in our games to offer a variety so folks have choices in the types of lottery games they would like to play. Restaurants and bars are fun places to play Carolina Keno, but so are bowling alleys, fraternal organizations and some convenience stores with social settings.

Good morning, Harvey. Last year's prize expense was the highest ever, $1.54 billion, or on average more than $4.2 million a day in prizes. That was the lottery's biggest expense. The next was earnings for education at $622 million, or $1.7 million a day. The lottery tries to balance folks having fun winning prizes with our mission to raise money for education. The lottery distributes instant tickets across the state to 6,800 retail locations so that prizes are won randomly. No one knows where the winning tickets are.

Found a keno on my traveling. BUT Too Many Commercials on screen. Don't leave the numbers picked long enough. Also be nice if you had a place on screen with a list of Hot and Cold numbers that been played for past hour. NC Lottery

It still makes no sense for every single terminal in the state to have keno quick pick buttons that cannot be used. I know the NCEL is aware of this if they go to any gas station or grocery store. What is the harm in allowing casual players to play the keno $1, $5 and $10 quick picks during the day. I mean, they were put on the terminals for a reason right? It certainly was not to check the tickets because they are quick pick buy buttons. I think they either need to be activated or removed. NCEL losing millions on limiting play yet for some reason showing the quick pick option at thousands of locations statewide.

I'd like to know how you justify symbols when you buy a $3 ticket and you get a symbol how come there are there are less than the price of the ticket it seems to me if you buy a ticket the prize should be at least equal to the ticket if I buy a $5 ticket it shouldn't be all $1 winners but then I understand you need to make money greedy greedy greedy

Very disappointed with NCEL not to allow our favorite store in Weaverville to have keno. This store just happens to sell more tickets than any other in western N.C. It's the Handy Mart, in case you need to know. Let it happen and you will make some extra money.
