Our commitment to build responsible gaming best practices into all operations has helped us achieve the highest level of responsible gaming certification recognized internationally. This makes us only the fourth – and youngest – U.S. lottery to reach the top level in the world program.
If you’re asking, ‘Why does that matter?’ You’ve come to the right place. We’ve broken down exactly what this achievement means for the lottery, our players, and our state.
What is the top certification?
· It is the Level 4 accreditation from the World Lottery Association, the global authority on the lottery business.
· Highest level of responsible gaming certification recognized internationally, outlining lotteries’ level of commitment to corporate social responsibility and responsible gaming.
· Consists of four levels of achievement. The more advanced the responsible gaming program, the higher the level of achievement. N.C. has been awarded the highest level.
· Means the lottery has implemented responsible gambling practices into its day-to-day operations and is committed to continuous improvement of them.
