Robeson County woman ‘Strikes it Rich!’ with a $200,000 lottery prize

Dorothy Ford of Fairmont is the first player to win $200,000 playing the new Strike it Rich! scratch-off game.

Ford’s good luck happened when she bought the $5 ticket at Marshall’s Friendly Stop on N.C. 41 South in Fairmont.

She claimed her prize Thursday at lottery headquarters in Raleigh. After required state and federal tax withholdings, she took home $139,003.  

 Strike it Rich! launched earlier this month with four top prizes of $200,000. Three top prizes remain.
 
Ticket sales from instant games like Strike it Rich! make it possible for the lottery to raise more than $600 million a year for education.

How do you check past 2nd chance drawings and winners. NC Lottery
Your dashboard comes up when you click on your username in the right hand corner. Then click on the Draws icon. That will give you two tabs for Lucke-Rewards or Second Chance. Click on the tab you want to check. Then use the filters to see the winners of drawings you were entered in or any expired drawings. The lottery posts the names of winners after they claim their prizes.

I would like to know what is going on with the lucky zone apt. I have been trying to enter my tickets for over 2 months only to see 'its down sorry for the inconvenience.' what's going on. My tickets will have expired soon!!! Hope NC Lottery
