Ten points gets you an entry in the Lucke-Rewards drawing and a chance to win one of the above prizes. You have until Feb. 26 to enter.

The drawing is scheduled for March 1, with the winner being notified shortly thereafter. Odds of winning depend on the number of entries received.

When the commission that oversees the lottery approved the Rewards program, that was the entry limit they approved. It's possible that could change in the future.

Since the lottery started, we've had four players win the Powerball jackpot. We also have players win other big prizes in the game regularly. In fact, we just had someone win $50,000 playing the game on Saturday.

How long ago did you ask, and on what blog entry did you post your question? We do our best to respond within 24-48 hours. One thing we recommend is updating your screen name from the default "PLAYER" to something unique so that you will be able to come back to this blog about the NCEL 200 and find your question and our response. The blog moderators are not statisticians so it's challenging to answer your question. Over time, all draw games pay out 50% in prizes. In Cash 5 the jackpot is made up of 60.54% of the prize pool. So our best estimate is that for about every $3.30 in ticket sales, the jackpot goes up $1, and $.65 goes to non-jackpot prizes. Current options are shown on the Drawings page, along with the number of points per entry. Click the "Enter Drawing" button for the drawing you would like to enter. Then select the number of entries you would like and click "Submit Entries." Review your request and click "Submit Entry." You will see a confirmation page and also receive an email confirmation. You can request as many drawing entries as you want, provided you have enough points. The majority of winnings on ANY scratch offs no matter the price of the tickets are in the $1500 range, You have better chances of winning the same or more on a $1 or $2 Powerball, cash five and mega millions, hell even the pick 3 and 4's too for that matter.I searched through the winners, not a whole lot in Fuquay or Holly Springs, I'm going to stop wasting money on these obsolete winnings on scratch offs.

Thank you for your response on 2/14. I understand the difference in regular and specific drawings. My question was about how entries are determined. Are entries determined solely by the bar code on each ticket or the cumulative points used to enter a drawing? If so, how are those points identified with which ticket?NC Lottery
If you're talking about Rewards drawings, the entries you make are not tied to the tickets that earned your points, the entries are tied to your Rewards membership account. Same thing for game-specific second-chance drawings. Once you use the ticket to enter, the ticket isn't part of the equation anymore, just your membership account.

Hi Harold, we've seen you ask this question and have answered it before :) But we're happy to again. At this time, the commission that oversees the lottery has approved only the daily limit that is currently in place.

So for a drawing held on a Wednesday, winners can expect a message by 5 p.m. Friday. If a winner does not respond to email notification, we will follow up with a telephone call and, if necessary, send certified mail.

SOOOO, when you get the package in the mail can you sell/give some of the package/tickets away or not??? I'm thinking the winner can do what ever they want.NC Lottery
Technically a winner could do what they want with the tickets to the races besides the NCEL 200. But only the person who claims the prize can participate in the experience part of the NCEL 200, and those winners will need their tickets to get into the race to meet up with the lottery to be part of the action.

Why doesn't the Cash 5 subscription service have the EZ Match option? Subscription service purchases should have the same options as paper ticket purchases.NC Lottery
We checked with the gaming systems team to get an answer for you. EZ Match is an add-on product that is configured through our traditional gaming system. Web-based subscription is a separate entity. All of the games offered through subscription have wins based only on drawing results.

The lottery pays the minimum required taxes on the grand prize and honorary starter prize. As with all lottery winnings, the prizes are considered income. But it's entirely possible that the minimum withholdings will cover the winners' obligation.

My son to be the year old son is obssessed with anything to do with cars/trucks pretty much Antung with an engine. His entire room if decorated in cars, this would be a life changing experience for him and we can't afford to pay to go on our own.
