'X The Cash' games return, prizes up to $1 million

What's more exciting than winning a prize? The popular "X The Cash" scratch-off games are back - and they give you a shot to multiply a prize up to $1 million.

Whether your ticket is a winning ticket or not, enter it here for the chance to win in the X The Cash Second-Chance promotion. More on that in a moment.

Here are the top prize counts for each game as they begin:

- 50X The Cash ($10 game): Four top prizes of $1 million
- 20X The Cash ($5 game): Five top prizes of $200,000
- 10X The Cash ($2 game): Six top prizes of $50,000
- 5X The Cash ($1 game): Nine top prizes of $10,000

Submit an X The Cash ticket here before midnight on March 31 to be entered into the first second-chance drawing scheduled for April 5. Besides the $50,000 grand prize, two prizes of $10,000, five prizes of $5,000 and 10 prizes of $500 will also be awarded. Promotion Rules.

Notsolilbit - Perhaps you should contact security and report the retailer for selling old tickets. Those games have ended and their claim dates have passed meaning that even if you had a winning ticket NCEL will not pay out. Those tickets need to be pulled ASAP.

I kept them and so did my husband for about 2 weeks and did not have an answer so I just threw them away but from now on will keep them. We got them from our fav store along with other 2nd chance tics and had no problem logging others in but these would not log. I went back to store and asked the guy if all these tickets were new and he said yes but I looked back and saw where they were old tics. Anyway no big deal would not have won anyway. I have used a lot of money my bro left me and it is very frustrating when you enter so many tickets with big money you have spent not to win a thing. @Notsolibit - when did you buy those tickets? And can you provide the entire ticket number, i.e. 433-123456-001? I'm wondering if these were old tickets that should have been turned in when the game ended.

Notsolibit, there's no need to fear, Turbo man is here. Playing the lottery is very complicated, even more so when they come out with new games & contests. Most of the time the store clerks don't have a clue. Best thing we can do is keep our self's informed from the website. Just click & scroll man.

hey Turbo, took your advice now I am notsolilbit. I will be giving you some shout outs especially when frustration takes place but I do enjoy playing these games. What I meant was we, my husband and I bought these tics at our fav store with these numbers on them but could not log but I think I know why now thanks man.

Through the years I have learned a boat load of info just clicking on the tabs and reading the info (rules & such). If I see a question come up I think I can answer , I jump in feet 1st like a few other members. One thing we must remember, the moderators of these blogs don't even play the lottery like we do & in most cases the clerks in the stores where we buy our tickets don't either. I wish I could be of more help. Keep the faith "player". While you're at it go to your "profile" and give yourself a handle/name. Too many players on here.

We bought them just like the rest of the new tickets and they had the second chance logo on them so if it is wrong it certainly is not on our part maybe you should investigate this I can't get anywhere.NC Lottery
The Lucke-Rewards logo means that tickets are eligible for Rewards points, which is not the same thing as a game-specific second chance drawing. There is no game-specific second-chance drawing associated with the X The Cash scratch-off tickets that came out last year. There is a "2nd Chance Game!" message on the upper-right hand corner of the new tickets.

@ MD74 - The prize has already been awarded to the winner. News of the $4 million winner was posted on our website the same way every other win of $100,000 or more is posted. The website automatically displays the most recent winner stories. There have been eight wins of $100,000 or more since the $4 million winner claimed. I missed the very first $10,000 prize for the '50X THE CASH' game two days ago by three hours at the same store that was sold in Union County. I was there playing the same game three hours earlier before it was hit. It would have been my second $10K prize in two months.

@ NOTSHARON - A contest like that could be a lot of fun. We'll pass along the suggestion. Our team works to bring out a mix of games that offer different features so that folks have many to choose from to find ones they like. Sometimes a theme is popular enough that bringing it back makes sense and we do try to minimize any potential for confusion with other games on sale. But any lottery can only do its best scientific estimates on how long particular instant games will be in stores before the top prizes are won or when the games will end. As you can imagine, it's a pretty big puzzle to put together with more than 50 instant games a year coming out, and millions of tickets for each one :-) Have a great weekend!

Ok thanks. Well, how about maybe in the future not naming so many new games the same, for instance with the Mega bucks games and a couple others too. Will check for that second chance drawing in the corner, didn't know if that was actually ON the tickets or was just to show us here online. Let's have a "name the new games" contest with lots of good prizes for the winners that come up with good new names ! ( just kidding but do think you all can see where games named the same can be misleading to some buyers out there ) :)

@ NOTSHARON - We understand the suggestion, but the logistics of that aren't as simple as it sounds. The main thing is every lottery game or suite of lottery games is designed in a deliberate way, with a certain amount of the ticket sales committed to prizes at various levels from break-even to top prize, and - in the case of the new tickets - second-chance drawings. The old games exist in their own "prize bubble" if you will. So it would be, at the very least, impractical to factor them into the second-chance drawings built into the new games. Also the simplest way to distinguish the tickets from one another is to look at the corner to see if there is information about the ticket being eligible for a second-chance drawing :-)

The lottery has begun the process of ending the game, and pulling tickets from the more than 6,800 stores across the state that sell lottery tickets. Generally games are ended when the last top prize is claimed. Sometimes the decision has to be made to pull games because they are no longer popular or new tickets are coming out. All of the lottery's practices are independently reviewed to ensure we follow best practices, to offer fun and fair games, to award prizes, and to meet our mission to make 100% of our profits available to the state to benefit education. Also, please keep in mind the lottery does not keep unclaimed prize money. Half of it benefits education and the other half goes back into prizes for future games. The tickets just came out this week. We'll get a report on Monday that indicates how many tickets have been entered so far. Winners in second-chance drawings are typically notified by email within 48 hours of the date of the drawing. We'll also call or send certified mail if necessary. Winners have 30 days from the time of initial notification to claim. A winner's name can be announced only after they complete the claim process.

There's too many X the cash tickets to be had, I'm going x-eyed looking at all of them. :) The ones ending soon don't qualify. Some newer ones are sooo similar looking to some of the older ones getting ready to end soon ..older ones can be bought by accident if one is wanting to enter the second chance drawing too. When there are still older ones to be had out there... when you start a second chance drawing... please consider making them work for the second chance drawing also!NC Lottery

to exemplify exactly what a dishonest scam this lottery operation is, see where they have discontinued the old blue $2 10x tickets when there are still a combined 10 available prizes in the top 2 prize amounts. meanwhile the $2 purple 50,000 bonus cash card has a total of ZERO prizes left available in the top 2 available payouts & that card is still active, not discontinued, with no prizes left! and don't give me that tripe about discontinuing the old 5x, 10x etc because a new incarnation of the same series just came out because you ran both the old and new series of jr, jumbo, mega bucks simultaneously for nearly the entire time. The whole thing is CORRUPT.NC Lottery

According to the Lucke-Rewards rules "An eligible instant scratch-off entry is any ticket from any NCEL instant game that has not passed that game's posted Claim Deadline." You have always had the option of manually entering the rewards code instead of scanning a ticket.

$1, $2, $3, $5 and $10 tickets have $300 worth of tickets on a roll. For $20 and $30 games, there are 30 tickets per roll.

Unlike televised drawings, Rewards and second-chance drawings are only scheduled for a specific date, not a particular time of day. The number of drawings that need to be held varies so they are held when draw security and audit staff are available to follow all the procedures to hold the random drawing.

Quitting no winners regular or second chance,had enough will save mega bucks not playing anymore and suggest the same for anyone else not living in the mountains area of the state I know you can't win if you don't play ,but these odds are totally against you.
