Teacher to enjoy Disney vacation with $10,000 win

Scott Rainey, a 7th grade teacher from Winston-Salem, was already planning to take a break from the classroom and enjoy a trip to the Sunshine State for a Disney World Vacation.

Then he won $10,000. And now he plans to enjoy himself even more.

Rainey bought a $20 Ruby Red 7’s scratch-off ticket at the Lowes Foods on Reynolda Road. When he got home, scratched it off and saw how much he won – he told our Greensboro claims center staff that he screamed in disbelief.

Besides the trip, Rainey said he plans to put some of his winnings into savings.

One top prize of $4 million, one prize of $1 million, and four prizes of $100,000 are still in the Ruby Red 7’s game. We look forward to meeting more winners.

Turbo - Technology is not the issue, easy enough to do regardless of the number of drawings. LFL was added just last year. It's like getting a Coke at the drive thru but have to go inside to get a Pepsi because the store owner doesn't care - bad business. I play the offered games on-line but I'm not going to drive 50 miles round trip to buy a Pick 3 or 4 ticket.

87SPG, I think it has something to do with them being a twice a day draw. Maybe the timing of the cutoffs & such. Remember the AON was twice a day & never offered online. I agree with you though , a computer tech should be able to figure it out. It sure would be nice...........

Well maybe the commission should get to work. How hard is it to add 2 more draw games that are very popular. Guess the commish's perks aren't good enough to take customer input seriously.

When will we be able to purchase the pick 3 and 4 from the subscription. NC Lottery
At this time, the commission that is legislatively-appointed to oversee the lottery has not approved the sale of tickets for Pick 3 or Pick 4 through subscription services. There is no timetable right now for when those games might be added.

LZ replied to my question w website on winners in Fuquay/Holly springs, really I've already scrolled down that list among others long time ago NO winners in ny area that I mentioned so if you don't have another site for me to look then these winners do not exist. I'm assuming these stores told me this to keep business w lotto to get your hopes up it's all hogwash and I know better than that ty LZ for the lack of info NC Lottery

I looked at the winners list all the way back to 2012 and I saw that not one person from Wilkesboro or. North Wilkesboro has ever won on LZ! Everyone in our state deserves to have someone win, in big cities and even in smaller towns too. NC Lottery

I got told when I asked 2 different stores if they know a winner around here, I've heard of 2 ppl so far that won jackpot in Fuquay cash five (I've only found one)by looking this up where are the other ones and got told by another store someone won in Holly springs at this particular store on $200,000 powerball ,this is a very small area and I've yet to find any of these winners considering they bought their winning tics at these particular stores,where can I find winners list for cash 5, powerball and mega millions bought in Fuquay and Holly springs stores ?thanks NC Lottery

Then again maybe this is why sales have gone down in the areas where there are NO winners we get tired of losing money,I guess sales are better in the bigger cities because they are ALWAYS winning ,so maybe if yaw put more than winning 4 quarters if you are even lucky to win that then we would have a reason to spend our money on these colorful cardboards ,I will save up money go to one of t hese big towns to buy scratch offs see if I get lucky .

ALWAYS mostly mountains ,Charlotte ,Grnboro ,Raleigh ,Fayetteville ,Durham winners no matter the game ,I believe sales on scratch offs will become obsolete in these small rural areas since never nothing here ,seems we are the ones that's paying for these winning tics to go else where.It does no good to speak about this anymore especially after all the negative blogs from ppl from YEARS back that feel this way so who am I to use my opinion

Can you explain why a Robert Anderson of Holly Springs is the so called winner in 2 SEPARATE drawings one is $500 winner among same names over again with others ,I noticed this Robert Anderson also "won $1000 " on scratch offs on your list .I see several ppl with same names on the second chance drawings winners ,how can you explain this LZ?I know you don't control who wins OR DO YOU seems like something fishy going on,if you scroll down to winners list with second chance drawings and scratch off winners you run into same names HMM I'm not dumb like you think the rest are
