‘Taxes Paid’ on top prizes up to $1 million

There’s nothing like winning. And it’s even better when the taxes are paid. That’s what the new suite of Taxes Paid instant games is all about: You win a top prize, we pay the taxes.

Besides the chance to win a prize by matching one of your numbers to any of the winning numbers, the games also feature instant win symbols. A “Double Moneybags” symbol wins double the prize shown. And on the $5 and $10 tickets a “Money Roll” symbol wins all the prizes shown.

- The $10 game starts with four top prizes of $1 million.
- The $5 game starts with five top prizes of $200,000.
- The $2 game starts with six top prizes of $50,000.
- And the $1 game starts with 10 top prizes of $10,000.

Our advice to top prize winners on Taxes Paid tickets is the same as it is for anyone who has a big win: Talk to a tax expert. Best to find out how everything fits together on the front end so there’s no surprise next April.

Hope we have a winner here in Robeson County and I hope it wil be me. I hope we all win. Do you pick the winners from the scratch off or the draw tickets or both? Which is the best way draw or scratch? I have entered thousands but I know that it only takes one to win.

I paid all my taxes up already every time I buy a losing tic which is 100% of the time .More blessings to Raleigh, Greensboro ,Charlotte, mountains anywhere but my land ,I'm guessing since these new tics are "tax free"then it will actually more losing ones ,this whole lotto is rigged and the ones losing are making the winners rich . There is no annuity option. If you win the top prize of $1 million on the $10 ticket, then you walk away with a $1 million check. That's one of the best features about this game :)

One last thing! For everyone. How I play the lottery. I call this Make a Plan and Make it Work! #1. I set a budget and never exceed it. #2. If I win, I roll that money over to additional purchases. #3. If I lose, I subtract my loss from my budget. REGARDLESS of the game or Grand Prize, I always stick to my budget. It takes discipline, but you won't regret it. Good luck and stick to your plan.

A while back I played Cash 5 when it was around $167,000. Not only did I miss the grand prize by one number, l literally missed it by one number. The 3rd number was 23 and mine was 24. I've never hit the grand prize and this is as close as I've gotten in 30 years. *I used to drive to SC to pick up tickets. Overall I've probably broken even so it's been an exciting adventure to try and hit the big one. Keep trying and don't forget to budget.

I agree, playersaid. Your woods are probably my woods too. I have researched the winners history and no one from my town has ever won. The closest is about 70 miles away..... but we keep playing, don't we?

If you buy a $10 Taxes Paid ticket and win the $1 million top prize, you take home $1 million with the minimum federal and state taxes already withheld. So you’re definitely getting that ‘straight out million’ :)

Thank goodness there is not a 2nd chance drawing associated with these tickets. Too many 2nd chance tickets are hard to keep up with, the 3 you got going now are more then enough.
