Mega Millions, Powerball jackpots top $100 million

The chance of snow isn't the only potential shocker in the weekend forecast. With both the Mega Millions and Powerball jackpots topping $100 million, there's the possibility of a dusting or maybe even a blizzard of good luck.

Heading into Friday's drawing the Mega Millions jackpot annuity is $106 million, worth $63.3 million cash. And Saturday's Powerball drawing weighs in at $104 million, a $62.4 million lump sum.

Big Winners

Remember, there are nine ways to win a prize playing Powerball. And, through March 26, when you enter a Power Play ticket here in the players' club, you will be automatically entered in the Power Cruise Second Chance Promotion. Winners will set sail on a five-night cruise for two to Key West and Cozumel, an adventure of a lifetime.

I understand what you saying about the error but when sc lottery makes this kind of error they still pay off for both set of numbers and that is the right and legal way it should be with all states.NC Lottery
The N.C. Education Lottery is following the law by paying out prizes on the numbers that won prizes. The manual error by the production staffer that occurred after the drawing did not impact the outcome of the random drawing. We are sorry that the mistake occurred.

On 3/12/2017 11:09, james said how do you claim loses against your wins?*******James you can only claim up to the amount you won. Win $1k , claim $1k in loses. Win $5k claim $5k in loses. Even if you spent $20k to win that $5k you can only claim $5k in loses. If you don't win anything, I'm not sure you can claim anything as loses.

Iv been playing since the beginning and one would think I would have been lucky by now and win atleast more than $$25bucks,the problem is that it is an unfair lotto system and they keep a range of winners only!I mean #'s don't lie if 100k people buy a $1 scratch off and loose the lotto made 100g in less then a few minutes ok now think on $2-$3-$5-$10-$20-$30 and figure out what they are making within minutes!where are all those "BILLIONS"going? Yep they can afford more winners is all im saying!

Congrats My People, nc lottery do you also pay for two set of pic 4 numbers like last night 03/11/17 first set of pic4 numbers you showed (9403=16 and then you showed 9103=13) I don't need to get into all details but you do know sc lottery pays if two sets of numbers comes up on tv or website so let's do the right thing and be fair with this mistake. There was only one set of winning numbers in the Saturday evening Pick 4 drawing. There was a manual error by a production staffer keying in one of the numbers on the title screen after the random drawing was held. Prizes will be paid on the winning combination, which was 9-1-0-3.

On February 8, 2017 there was a drawing for the Holiday Second Chance Promotion. I saw the winner of the $200,000 posted but haven't seen a list for the 5 winners of the $5,000 and the 10 winners of the $500. Where can I find this list or hasn't it been posted yet?NC Lottery

Scroll to the bottom of the page where the Second-Chance drawings are listed and look to the right-hand side of the page where there is a drop-down menu that defaults to display ACTIVE drawings. Click on that and change it to ALL, and you can then scroll down to see the results of drawings that have already been held, including the Holiday Second-Chance drawing.

I agree with "player said". When you look at the winners, it is hard to accept your explanation. As long as the lottery has been going with the odds listed, I feel we should see more winners in the smaller towns as well and not always Raleigh, Greensboro, on the coast any where but where I live. Why should it really matter if the odds are correct? It is a game of chance, but it seems the odds are stacked against people in a small town. And you are wrong IMO when you say it is not easier to win in a big city. Apparently it is extremely easy to win in a big city. NC Lottery

One in 10 people who live in North Carolina lives in Wake County. It's not easier to win the lottery in a big city, there are just more people taking a chance to win there.
