Well....for people who always play "regular" tickets this saves them $1. I ALWAYS do PowerPlay and Megaplier so this doesn't work well for me. But for all the people who play regular tickets it's always good to save a buck.... ;) GOOD LUCK to ALL Players!!!

I am often times critical of the lottery and I have my reasons at those time but I will also applaud them when it is due. The new $20 card seems to have improved in the odds. First time in several years I have seen odds improve on a new card. It is loaded on the bottom so players won’t be as frustrated as with similar offerings. You can win a little to keep you interested while you go for the big money. Maybe the NCEL has been listening to us after all. I believe the NCEL will realize this was as profitable of a move as they could have made and if they continue this trend they will see revenues increase at a greater rate. The public is very astute and we pay close attention to the goings on at the NCEL. Many kudos for bringing out a card with improved odds. NC Lottery

I read this promotion before I left for work yesterday morning. I went to the store late that afternoon and asked the cashier about "The Works" The cashier was confused and said I have no idea what you are talking about. I left without purchasing The Works. NC Lottery
Sorry MissV that you didn't get good customer service. Lots of The Works tickets were sold across the state Monday so it appears to be working OK elsewhere. If you would share the location where you tried to make your purchase, the lottery will reach out to the store and share additional training on the promotion.

I have a question. When you scan tickets in, why do some give you more points than others? Like for example, you have 2 losing 10 dollar tickets, but when you scan them, one gives you 10 points while the other gives you 50. Just curious. NC Lottery
Hi there, Jessigrady22. It's a good question, and one we would be happy to answer! Like playing the lottery, how many points a ticket is worth is a matter of luck. Here’s how it works. Draw tickets are worth between one and five times the ticket price in reward points. So a $2 draw ticket is worth between 2 and 10 points. Instant tickets are worth between one and 10 times the ticket price in reward points. That makes a $5 instant ticket worth between 5 and 50 points. Hope that helps!

Hi there Pinki. Entries do not carry over in this second-chance promotion. Any entries made after 11:59 p.m. on April 30 have been entered into the second drawing. Any entries before that time period have been entered into the first drawing. Hope that helps!

You can always Power Play if you buy a separate ticket, but you cannot add it onto "The Works" promotion.

Each time you purchase "The Works," those tickets are for each specific game's next draw. For example: If you purchased "The Works" today, your Mega Millions ticket would be for tomorrow's drawing. Your Powerball ticket would be for Wednesday's drawing. Hope that helps clarify!

I just purchased The Works thru subscriptions. It took less the 2 minutes. That included wallet deposit, making the purchase after updating my cart a few times. Best part I got 20 points for my $5 purchase & didn't have to enter a 25 digit code off 4 different tickets. Oh yea, I didn't have to go out in the rain either. Thank you LZ.

Hi there, DNH. To utilize "The Works" promotion, you need to go to the subscription page and select the blue box at the top for "The Works." That is the only way you can particpiate through subscription. Adding all the games individually does not work.

Are you referring to Power Play and Megaplier? If so, "The Works" is just for the normal game, not the extra feature. We hope that helps!

It's not very appealing to me. It is a money maker for the lottery because you get people to spend more money thinking they are getting something free when 99.9% of them won't win anything. You encourage players to pay the extra dollar to multiply their ticket so you to should make it a Power Play & Megaplier. So how will that effect how much the games increase in winnings when there is no winner? Powerball & Lucky For Life get $4.00 out of the $5.00 so does that mean the Cash 5 & Mega Millions will only increase half as much as it normally would?

My plan/strategy for working this promo w/o spending a lot is...Online buying -"The Works" on Mondays & Thursdays, and a cash5 on Tue. Wed. Fri. Sat. & Sun.. Then repeat each week. Sounds simple & inexpensive , only $15 a week & you'll be in every drawing all week long. The reason for the online purchase, entry codes are automatically entered & you don't have to check your numbers or worry about losing the tickets. If you win any amount you get an email.
