Big winners will get big checks at new Lottery HQ

After 11 years at our original location, we're moving to a new building on Capital Boulevard in Raleigh. Friday is the last day to claim prizes at the Yonkers Road location.

Beginning Monday, June 5, Lottery Headquarters will be located at 2728 Capital Boulevard. Some residents of Raleigh might remember the new location as the former Westinghouse office building.

The new headquarters is less than a mile away from the original headquarters where lottery operations began in 2006. Our Raleigh claims center staff is looking forward to meeting winners at the new office.

To get there from Interstate 440, just take the exit for Northbound Capital Boulevard, turn right at the second light onto Westinghouse Boulevard, and hang an immediate right onto Appliance Court.

Once you're on Appliance Court, the first turn-in on the left is where you can park. You will see the claims center entrance marked there on on the northeastern end of the building.

Why are we moving? After a decade of steady growth, adding more stores that sell tickets and introducing more ways to play, we simply outgrew the old space. The new 10-year lease will accommodate anticipated growth in the years to come.

We appreciate that players and local businesses help us raise more than half a billion dollars a year for education. In the process of doing that, players get to dream a little - and millions a day in prizes are awarded to the lucky winners.

So if you are in the Raleigh area and win a little something - or you live anywhere in the state and win $100,000 or more - starting Monday, your check will be waiting for you at the new headquarters.
