Two Power Play tix win $150K in Powerball drawing

The $1 Power Play made a big difference for whoever bought two lucky tickets for Saturday's Powerball drawing.

Each ticket matched four white balls and the red Powerball. But because both tickets were Power Played and the multiplier was 3X, what would have been a $50,000 prize tripled to $150,000.

The winning tickets were sold in Catawba County at the Buffalo Shoals Supermarket in Newton and in Orange County at the Foust Corner Market on East Center Street in Mebane.

The winning numbers in the drawing were 11-21-31-41-59 and 21 for the Powerball. Players with winning tickets have 180 days to collect prizes.

The jackpot for Wednesday's drawing has grown to a $165 million annuity worth $101 million cash. We will be watching with you to find out if we have more lucky winners.
