Jackpot Update: Cash 5, Mega up for grabs Tuesday

Players who like to take a shot at big jackpots have two choices Tuesday night.

After a sixth straight drawing without a perfect ticket, the Cash 5 jackpot has climbed to $340,000.

The Mega Millions jackpot has been growing since the beginning of May, and stands at $123 million.

Are you getting a ticket for one of these drawings or both?

We feel that most players expect there to be a top prize when they play a scratch-off ticket. That's why our policy is to end the game after all of the top prizes have been won. There are exceptions to that policy and we have ended a game after it's been out for an extended period of time and we no longer have retailers who want to sell the game.

I agree with notsolilbit I went South Carolina and brought a few scratch offs and I won on most of tickets. And and the way back to NC I stop at few gas stations to play and still won money. I had to stop playing because I was getting closer to NC.

I am trying a new way of picking numbers for my power ball ticket and I think it will work great and If I win n I will tell you how to pick your numbers I promise I will do this .

hey you guys and gals, go to Virginia and play. I get a few tickets every time I go and win every time. I said I was quitting the scratch-offs here but I lied. I bought just 20 lucky 7's and guess what, not a winner in them at all, but that is not unusual. I was entering my Va. lotto tickets 2 weeks ago and it popped up on my screen, congratulations you just won a $25 gift card, and I received it on the 20th which is my birthday. Now that is the way to enter tickets and NC could come up with something like that if they would. Thought I would give you some info and quit playing those scratch-offs, go to VA.

I have another question on scratch offs. When a scratch off game end why are there still prizes still available? NC Lottery
We end a scratch-off game when all of the top prizes have been won, even if there are still smaller prizes out there.

no cash 5 or mega... only playing pick 3-tax free money and only game I have luck with. this year I have gotten well on the plus side since dropping all other games.when I play cash 5 all I win is 1 dollar. when I play mega the most I win is 0. when I play pick 3 I win 500 dollars plus depending on how many times I play it exact. odds on picking 3 numbers is better than picking 5 or 6 numbers. just bought a new honda accord with pick 3 winnings this year
