The only ticket that matched all five winning numbers was sold 52 miles east of Charlotte at Tim's Convenience on East Caswell Street in Wadesboro. The winning numbers were 2-28-34-35-39.
Since no one had matched all five winning numbers for Sunday’s drawing, the jackpot increased from $100,000 to $110,000 for Monday night.

Tuesday’s jackpot reset to $100,000 – double the amount of the usual amount. For the entire month of July, thanks to the Cash 5 $100K Days promotion, Cash 5 players will have the chance to win at least $100,000.
This win is bound to cause excitement in the small Anson County town, with a population of around 5,600.
Congratulations to the newest winner, and good luck to everyone playing in the upcoming drawings.

The winners, at least 90-95% are from areas including Charlotte and East of that area to the coast. If all that part of the state are buying that percentage of total chances sold of the scratch cards, cash 5, powerball, and megamillions; then, I guess that makes sense. Just look at a map of the state, red dot where the winners are located for the results
