Cash 5, Mega and Powerball jackpots on the rise

If you like jackpot games, you're loving the prizes on the line heading into Tuesday and Wednesday night.

Carolina Cash 5 players have a chance to win $413,000 in Tuesday's drawing. If one or more tickets hit, thanks to Cash 5 $100K Days which lasts through July 31, the jackpot will reset to $100,000 for the next drawing.

Also on the menu Tuesday night, the Mega Millions jackpot has grown to a $262 million annuity, worth $164.1 million cash.

And Wednesday there is a chance to win the $220 million Powerball jackpot annuity, worth $139 million cash.

We've had a total of six Powerball and Mega Millions jackpot winners, and tons of Carolina Cash 5 winners. We are always looking forward to meeting the next one. Good luck, everybody!

It's sad to read these comments about Powerball dreamers. Do You folks know what odds ARE? 1/ 292 million to win this far fetched thing. It's the same as being struck by lightning 2 times in month or worse. Even the 2/3 place prizes are tough odds. Play on for a dream. Geez

Has anyone else noticed the NCEL website is EXTREMELY slow? It was slow all day yesterday and again this morning when I checked.NC Lottery

Hey there Mikkeydo. Good question! We've had a player win a $149,970 Cash 5 jackpot with the subscription service. But it's not easier or harder to win depending if you buy online or at a store. The odds are always the same.

I noticed that some numbers just disappear for years and then they return. For instance 123 321 213 232 231 and 312 has nor been oUT in over 10 months in any form. That is not mathematically possible. Maybe one of your lottery experts can explain. Well we will see!!!NC Lottery
Hi there. Thanks for your concern. The numbers aren't rigged. Each drawing is a random, isolated event. The chances of 3456 being the winning numbers are exactly 1 in 10,000 every time. Same for 321 - exactly 1 in 1,000 every time. Whether it came out yesterday, last month or last year, the numbers are all random chance. Hope this clarifies things. Good luck to you and all players!
