From the mountain town of Hendersonville to Elizabeth City on the coast and places big and small in between, North Carolina had 33 winners of $5,000 or more - two worth $1 million.
One of the $1 million prizes is the first in the $2,500 Frenzy game. Allen Holderby of Stanley bought a lucky ticket for the $10 game at the Oakhill Deli & Grill on Oakdale Road in Charlotte. Since the game began on July 4, players have won $862,500 in $2,500 prizes. That leaves more than $4.6 million in $2,500 prizes, and three top prizes of $1 million, still in the game.
This week's other $1 million winners are Joseph and Susan Nemec of Wilmington. They got their lucky Extreme Millions ticket at MJ Pit Stop on Carolina Beach Road.
Marcas Savvas of Thomasville won the fourth and final top prize in the $400,000 Bonus Cash game. He bought his winning ticket at the Circle K on Randolph Street in Thomasville. With the last top prize claimed, the lottery will begin steps to end the game.
Velma Johnson of Fayetteville won the top prize of $200,000 on a lucky ticket for the "7" game. She got her lucky ticket at the Stop One on Hope Mills Road in Fayetteville. Two top prizes are still in the game.
Helen Rhone of Wadesboro won the $110,000 jackpot in the July 17 Cash 5 drawing. She bought her winning ticket at Tim's Convenience on East Caswell Street in Wadesboro. Through July 31, Cash 5 jackpots start at $100,000.
Cynthia Dabbs of Trinity won $100,000 on a Ruby Red 7's ticket. She got her lucky ticket at the Archdale Food Mart in Archdale. There is still one top prize of $4 million and three more $100,000 prizes in the game.

Two players won $75,000 on crossword-themed tickets. Matthew Beuris of Apex won playing Crossword Frenzy and Mary McCollum of Winston-Salem won playing Lucky 7's Crossword.
Peggy Gray and Carlisle Seay of Hendersonville won $50,000 in the July 22 Powerball drawing. Heading into Saturday's Powerball drawing, the jackpot is a $239 million annuity worth $151 million cash.
Two players won $20,000 this week. Jordan Worthington of Goldsboro won playing Funky 5's. Shaurice Moore of Havelock won playing Double Match.

Fiteen prizes of $5,000 were awarded. Two of the winners were from Charlotte. The other 13 were from: Apex, Clarendon, Elizabeth City, Fremont, Greensboro, Hillsborough, Leland, Monroe, Oak Ridge, Pinnacle, Raleigh, Randleman, and Zebulon.
