Randolph County Man Wins Big In Keno

Phillip Brady bought some Keno tickets on the go from the Midtown Fuel Express on Salisbury Street in Asheboro.

When he got back to his office, Brady saw that he had won $13,512 in latest draw game from the North Carolina Education Lottery.

Brady said he picks his numbers based on the most frequent numbers he sees coming out in the fast-paced draw game. He claimed his prize at the Greensboro claims center and says he plans to use the money to help with bills.

Ticket sales from draw games like Keno make it possible for the lottery to raise more than $600 million a year for education.

You need to get Keno in more locations. I know the game is designed for playing in restaurant or other group settings but I don't understand why more convenience and grocery stores can't sell tickets "to go"; Mr. Brady bought his ticket on the go and many people would prefer to when they lack time or desire to hang around. In the Charlotte area, all the locations to play Keno are in not so great parts of town or are in out of the way locations; you really have to go out of your way to find a retailer. NCEL needs to provide some incentive for more retailers to offer this game.

Congratulations The new website is very confusing, not as easy to navigate. In the past it was easy to see the amount of tickets you entered and who won. What determines when drawings will be held the amount of tickets that are sold? I entered tickets for 2 years in this game and others. Doesn't seem fair to those who keep putting 2nd chance tickets in to keep putting the drawings and then the system keeps getting harder and harder to navigate NC Lottery

Congrats Mr.Brady! I didn't win big money but I did get 4 of 5 on last nights cash5. I replayed a $5 ticket that I had won $3 on the day b4. So the tic only cost me $2. So glad I replayed that tic instead of cashing it in & getting a new one. SOOOO close 1# away from winning it all.. Thank you NCEL for the Benjamin on his B-day.
